Great for making soups
I've used the hand blender to make soups, works great. It's really sturdy, and of high quality.

Easy to use and serves its purpose well
Purchased to make creamy soups and fruit smoothies. Definitely does the job with ease, taking on thick starchy veggies and frozen fruit. Easy to hold and once you get the feel for adjusting for speed, prep is a breeze. However, its girth is larger than others I have owned. Like the guard to protect cookware. Would recommend.

Kitchen aid Top Notch
Best thing I've bought. Power is great, I've used for protein shakes, blending soup, mixed cake batter. It's my go to because I don't have to always get the big blender out

Excellent Value, Strong Enough for MOST Blends
For the price, this was an excellent buy. It's highly durable, and I love the design. The lower half of the blender detaches, and you can throw it directly in the dishwasher. The plastic is very durable and washable. It's also very compact, especially when in two pieces. I live in a downtown studio, and this is the perfect size. My one complaint is the blending strength. If using for only soups and sauces that are at least 50% liquid, this is more than strong enough. It's very fast too. I wanted to really put it through the paces, so I made mole - a thick, almost paste of a sauce. It kept jamming. Thankfully, it has an auto turn-off when it jams, so that it doesn't burn out the motor. But it was clogging it up every 30 seconds or so on the mole, though. Overall, worth the money: I'm keeping mine. Maybe in a few years I'll upgrade to a restaurant-quality one, but for now, it's a very useful addition to my kitchen.

Easy to use
Works great! I've used it for chicken salads and cottage cheese so far. Does not harm the container the food is in. Makes blending easy

Great for Blending Soups & Shakes Plus!
I love this and use it regularly. Mainly for soups as I needed an immersion blender and this is what I call it. It has many uses I read and I do make my shakes but I'm assuming it does many other things. Read the instructions and then decide to order.

Give away your blender if you buy this
"I'm giving away my Ninja blender" that's how good it is.

Además de ser muy potente, luce muy bien. Como todos los productos de Kitchen Aid, la calidad es estupenda. La compré a un precio increíble.

I have many many kitchen tools, but an immersion blender was one that I never got so for boxing day this year I decided i must buy one. Now i already have a kitchen aid stand mixer that i love so i figured i need to get the kitchen aid immersion blender as well and let me tell you… it did NOT disappoint!! I’ve been wanting one for a while but was worried on how it would perform and after using it and i so pleased with my purchase. It does not make a mess what’s so ever, you put it into your liquid and hold the button as it is pressure sensitive and it blends so nicely. It’s not very loud and it doesn’t even feel like it’s doing anything until you realize everything is now blended together. It’s wonderful, perfect, and my new favourite tool, i’m making recipes just to have an excuse to use it !! My one and only complaint is that they don’t have it in pink, my stand mixer is pink so i was hoping to match them up but unfortunately not an option. Otherwise i absolutely love!

Its a great hand blender i have one and bought this as a gift. However highly unimpressed how it was shipped. Just with the regular box left for everyone to see. Not too smart.

this replaced an older version of a KitchenAid immersion blender we had for over 10 years. at first glance I noticed there is A LOT more plastic on it than there was with the other one.. I doubt it will last as long as the one I had before.. I was a little disappointed that hte mixing head is not compatible with the older kitchenaid immersion blender.. which sort of makes the old one now totally useless.. the unit itself has a nice look and feel and I do like the power button adjusts the blending speed the more I depress it.. the pan protector is a nice add on as I was always concerned I would scratch my old pans with the other unit this will help prevent that... ***update after having had it for 2 months**** the unit is not reliable... shuts off after brief use and has become a bit of a dissapointment.. not sure if this is a lemon or a quality issue. it definitely does not feel as durable as initially indicated from first observation.. Getting in touch with Kitchenaid has become a near impossibility as I'm now trying to resolve through warranty.. I'm quite surprised given the size of the brand. having a kitchen full of kitchenaid appliances and never having made a warranty claim its definitely concerning... hoping they will be able to help but as of right now I have a sporadic paperweight that is more frequently useful to stir products by hand than actually immersion blend them... sigh :(
