I can't begin to express how pleased I am with this case. It's just perfect in every possible way. After accidentally pushing my Surface Pro 6 off my lap, of the the kickstand hinges broke and fixing it wasn't going to be easy. I thought of just buying a case with a buil-in kickstand and found that the OmniPak case for the Surface Pro 7 would fit it. It's beautiful and of very high quality. After removing the kickstand from the computer, one hinge folded in nicely and the broken one fell out. I laid the computer onto the case, pushed and it cllcked in place. It's so thin that you hardly know it's there. When open and stand the computer up to use, you can stop at any angle you want and the case magically stays in whatever position you put it in through a perfect amount of friction on its surfaces. It's so functional, I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't bought Omnipak yet and integrated the case with the computer for purchase together! JMHO. One of the absolute best purchases I've ever made!

This has been a great protective case for my Surface laptop. It fit well and feels very durable and solid. The design is slick looking and was very easy to install the laptop in it. It functions great allowing my laptop to sit up right like it should. I like the texture as it gives a good grip to hold the laptop while carrying it around. A few downsides, and it was not a huge deal to me, was it got a little dirty and when I wiped it off with a rag it kinda scuffed the material. Again not a huge deal to me but it is noticeable. Also without the keyboard it doesn’t balance great or flip over into tablet all that great. It will do it just with a lot of extra flaps.

Good quality case. Tablet snaps in snugly. Fits well with the non-Microsoft keyboard I’m using (Zoof). There are no cut outs for the Surface Pro 7 power and volume buttons. Instead, it has dimples. That works fine, but if the tablet is not set perfectly in the case, you may find the case pressing down on the power button. Happy with the quality.

This case seems to protect my laptop more than the two previous cases I have had. The case I purchased is the Omnpak Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Case, Protective Case for 12.3 in purple. It is the style that when closed, the flap folds over like an envelope. THE HARD PLASTIC CASE IS PROTECTIVE. The hard plastic case snaps tightly around and completely covers and wraps around all four corners, the back and all three sides. The only side not entirely covered and protected is where the keyboard snaps in at the bottom. On the bottom the case comes in about 1-1/8" on both sides. The holes in the hard plastic line up with accessing the holes in the laptop. There are also air vent holes across the top and about a third of the way down both sides. When I adjust the computer screen angle, it stays put. When I fold it closed, the key board NESTS into the hard plastic case. THE SOFT PART OF THE CASE EXTENDS A BIT BEYOUND THE HARD CASE FOR MORE POTECTION and looks like cloth but is easy-to-clean vinyl on the outside and lined with something man made that resembles and feels like suede. I work out of my truck in dusty conditions three days a week, so I wanted something that covers better, stays put and is easy to keep clean. This does that. Regarding overheating, I have only had the case a few days and the outside temp was only 60 degrees. I streamed Netflix for both those days and no problem. The true test will be overtime, especially when it heats up this summer and stored in a hot truck.
