Stick with bark great for a renaissance fair; rustic hiking stick
At this price, consider this stick a good value; bought primarily for a renaissance fair - and also doubted the U.S. made stick I ordered would ship in time. Overall am pleased although this model - made from a tree root in China - has a bit of a crook at the tip. And a sort of pit at the upper end (like a root would). Since I am short, if this should crack at the end, I would just saw off and re-cap. Feels sturdy and the poly varnish is evenly done, seems like a genuine leather cord; and not too heavy. I think I can carry comfortably all day at a fair and it will be useful on the uneven ground. Not an outdoor expert but, the imbedded compass seems lite and, well, cheap; it might work - or not. It's cute tho. (If going into the wilderness I suggest a good reliable compass or two, personally). At some point I will probably leather wrap the carrying end; but not sure it's really needed. And for fairs I will tie on a small leather bag for the "wandering medieval peasant" look. Past the fair will make a good hiking stick and it definitely looks cooler than my extendible pink metal hiking sticks. Expect to get years of use out of this, and think it is attractively rustic. Am about 5'3" so perhaps this is a very slightly long stick for me, but I wanted a longer stick and the length in hand, for me, felt fine.

Strong- Beautiful
The hiking stick was the right height 55 inches. Very sturdy, parachute cording wrapped very neatly. Would design beautiful.. only bad thing, where the light design is made up at the very top, I got a splinter. The stick is not completely straight. There is a curve in it. Shipping was fast, sellers were very nice and polite. I would recommend this product. I will buy from them again.

Real Wood, Reasonably Straight, Arrived Undamaged
Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I received my walking stick quickly and undamaged with some brown paper stuffed around it in a box. It was reasonably straight, but again, it is real wood. Yes, the exterior bark has some minor cracks but nothing is peeling off due to the clear coat finish. It is solid wood, not hollow, as you can see from looking at the top of the stick and then again at the bottom after removing the rubber tip. It is light to carry, and at 66, I need light. The paracord is tightly wrapped and the knot sealed with wax but I added a strip of black electrical tape over the top edge to add extra hold. The loop strap was short for my big hand so I replaced it with a leather boot lace. The rubber tip seams ok but I will probably replace with a wider based option for added stability. All my fixes were preference over poor manufacture. Overall, a very nice walking stick.

Solid and reliable stick.
I lost my first stick to circumstances, and this is a great alternative. A bit more flexible, pine or wax wood I'd guess, but fine. Green, so she'll break in with my walking style. A stick is like boots and gloves - gotta work them in.
