I'm happy to report they are a resounding success. Installation and Form Factor My first impression was, "Wow, these are tiny." Handling something this small often requires the patience of a saint and the steady hands of a surgeon. Yet, the installation was a breeze. The instructions are simple: clean the surface, peel the backing, stick it on, and hold for a few seconds. The key feature, pulled from the product page, is the 0.027-inch (0.7mm) ultra-thin profile. This isn't just a marketing buzzword; it's critical. I installed one on a MacBook and another on a slim laptop, and both close perfectly without any gap, an issue I've had with thicker, clunkier covers. The high-grade ABS plastic feels durable, and the strong adhesive backing feels significantly more robust than the flimsy tape on my old covers. So far, they've stayed firmly in place. The Privacy Performance Test This is where these covers truly shine. I ran two simple but critical tests on both installed devices: The "Open" Test: When the slider is open, does it obstruct the camera? Result: Pass. The slider hole is cut cleanly and provides plenty of clearance for the lens. There is zero vignetting (dark corners) or diminishing of the webcam's video quality. My 1080p feed remains crisp. This is total privacy. Final Verdict: This is a rare case of a simple, inexpensive product doing its one job perfectly. For the price, this 8-pack is an outstanding value. They are unobtrusive, don't interfere with the laptop's operation, and provide a total, verifiable blackout when closed. The concept of this webcam cover is great — it’s ultra-thin and easy to install, and it definitely helps add a layer of privacy protection. However, it didn’t work that well for me on my phone since I’m constantly moving it around, and the cover tends to slide off easily. The adhesive tape isn’t very strong, so it doesn’t stay in place for long on mobile devices. That said, I think it would work much better on a laptop or computer, where the camera stays in one spot. Overall, a solid product with a good design — just not ideal for phones that get a lot of movement.

These camera covers work well on both my phone and my laptop, and they give me some extra peace of mind about privacy. They stick on nicely overall, with only one that didn’t adhere quite as well as the others, but most have stayed firmly in place. I like that they don't stick out much, so it's not distracting. For the price, they’re a good value for the added privacy they provide, and I’m sure I’ll buy more in the future as I get new devices.

Easy to install! and even easier to use. Just slide to cover your computer camera. This is a must have so that no one can hijack your computer's camera and look at you. I use these on every computer camera that I have in my house as well as my job. Looks decent on your computer as well. Trust me, everyone should have one of these on their computer.

They are VERY SMALL and it takes some dexterity to install correctly. I dont’ know how long they will last? They are also quite hard to open and close because of their size being so small and nothing to grip in order to slide open and closed. However they are very low profile so on my laptop it doesn’t obstruct anything.

I had high hopes of using this seemingly great solution to protecting my privacy when using my devices, but sadly, I wasted my money. I followed the installation instructions, paying special anttention to properly preparing my iPad Mini’s screen with isopropyl alcohol, followed by buffing the surface well with a clean piece of an old T-shirt & then assuring there was no lint or fuzz left behind. I peeled off the backing of the blocker, positioned it over the camera hole & pressed it strongly for the recommended 10 seconds, then added another 10 seconds, just to make sure it made proper contact with the screen. It looked great, however, after using my iPad Mini for about an hour, I closed it to do something else. Later, when I reopened my iPad, I saw that the blocker had already fallen off…after only being on for about an hour!!! I don’t know if I just got a bad package, but the failure of this blocker is disappointing. Not to be insulting or negative, but this is not the first time I purchased an item because it was said to be, “Amazon’s Choice”, only end up being a waste of money. From now on, I’m only purchasing items by relying on the ratings of previous buyers ratings…I’ve been disappointed way too many times & like most of us, I don’t have money to waste.
