Best all-around ultralight stakes
These have the most holding power of any stake I've used with my ultralight tent. They don't bend and are easy to extract from the ground with the attached reflective micro-line loop. In hardpack conditions use a piece of leather or wood to protect them from rock bashing damage. They are too pretty to beat up! Titanium shepherd hooks might be easier to use in some conditions, but I'll trade that their secure hold any day! (Nearly as light weight too.) I've got at least 2 dozen and some regular size ground hogs as well. MSR for the win!

The best small stake option out there for long distance hiking
Imo these are the best all around stake, weight, holding power , durability e.t.c. for thru hiking or any distance hiking. A great stake! Sure you can get various other's that might be lighter, but in my experience, those options often break, don't hold as well etc.. but it's like anything else, gear is largely a personal choice and depends on your needs. These are great for thru hiking or any other long distance hike, where you want something reliable ànd lite, however, if you're doing other kinds of camping etc, and weight isn't an issue, the regular groundhog stakes are a great option.

Excellent General Purpose "Propeller" Stake
For general use, it's hard to beat the extra holding power of the MSR Groundhog/MiniGroundhog "Propeller" twist "Y" stake design. Shepherd's Hooks in steel or Aluminum don't hold well or "capture" guy lines well. V Stakes are much better, and stand up to more challenging conditions of wind and earth. But Y Stakes grab even better, and some, like the MSR's, have a "propeller" twist to the "Y" that "screws" the stake into the ground. For bigger tarps (more than 8 ft in L and W, I use the longer, larger Groundhogs, but the Mini's are a go-to for general use with tents and tarps less than 8ft in L and W. Also, I use one of the long, thick steel "nail" type stakes to drive a pilot hole in hardened soil or skree to prevent damage to any stake I use that doesn't "push" into the earth easily.

Great stakes!
I use these for my hammock fly and they works perfectly - they're compact enough to store in the stuff sack alongside the rain fly, they're very sturdy, and they have a very useful reflective chord attached that help avoid tripping over the guy lines at night which has been a huge problem for me in the past.

Durable, lightweight, easy to hammer
These were recommended on YouTube for lightweight options that are sturdy and reliable. I love them. They haven’t bent or broken and reduced the weight of the stock stakes by more than 50%

Best stake out there
Hands down, this is the best stake out there. I went on my first thru hike in 2019. I carried a variety of stakes. As the summer wore on, I kept replacing them one by one with these. Now I carry only mini ground hogs. They hold better in a greater variety of souls than any other stake. The only room for improvement I see is better reflective material in the ties and/or paint. I actually added a tiny bit of tenacious tape reflective tap to the tips. It’s worked for months worth of thru hiking. Anyways. Best stake out there. Even better than the larger standard sized MSR ground hog.

literally stop looking
There are the lightest stakes on the market that work. It will hold up any wind that comes out of the ground easily the next day. As a triple crowner (hiked the AT, PCT, CDT) these are my go to

Lightweight, seem sturdy so far
Used these camping in a variety of conditions. Sometimes I wished I’d gotten the longer ones (say, in sand or loose soil), but that was my choice. They’re much lighter than the stakes that came with my one-person backpacking tent.

軽いし目立つカラーなので見失う事もなく使い勝手が良いです。 ただしそこそこ折れたり歪んだりはするので常に予備を持っておくと良いと思います。
