Butler Creek makes a good product. These covers fit perfectly on an old Redfield 4x scope. I measured the outside diameter with a caliper. if you don't have a caliper set the eyepiece then the objective lens face down on a good ruler that gives both inches and millimeters. Take the readings and match them to the scope cover size chart on the Butler Creek web site. If your measurement is in between sizes, then get the size slightly smaller than your measurement this will give a nice tight secure fit. They both work well easy to open and close. I don't know how well they'll work in very cold, or snowy weather. I just know they work well in the Desert climate that I live in. A good scope cover for the price. I'm more than happy for now.

My boyfriend recently just got a scope that he needed scope covers for, and he has always trusted butler creek for some phenomenal eye covers. They have snug fit, and a solid seal, keeping out dust and debris when he shoots in the desert. These fit perfectly on a Leupold VX 1 3x9x40. I was glad I measured multiple times. If you’re using a typical ruler and not calipers. Make sure your 0 is set perfectly. These fit like a glove and I like them. As another reviewer stated, if you plan on hunting with these, poke a tiny hole or two in the covers to reduce/eliminate the suction effect/popping sound upon releasing the covers.

I own a few of these covers for my scopes, love them. Properly measure your scope and if you have an in between size, go with the smaller size. You can usually press it on without any problems and makes a nice tight fit.

I like these for the price. However, the sizes never seem to be the exact right fit for the scope. It would be better (in my opinion) if you were able to look up your scope model and they would tell you what size fits perfectly. I end up measuring my scope (with a caliper) and then ordering 3 pairs of covers, fitting the one that fits best and returning the others.

After trial and error and purchasing the wrong cover multiple times I have finally found one that works for my scope. The size 10 eyepiece cover is a perfect fit for a Nikon Buckmasters II BDC 3-9 x 40 scope. Don't go by what is on the Butler Creek size chart or you'll do what I did and buy a couple of the wrong sized eyepiece covers before finding one that is the correct size. A nice snug fit, wasn't hard to put on, but you would have to be trying to remove it to get the cover to come off, it's not going to pull off if it gets snagged on something.

Bought a pair to replace the stock ones that came on a Burris AR-332. Size 10 fit both ends fine. Typical good quality from Butler Creek- strong and quiet operation.
