ALRS0210PK - Sure Seal Ring, Square (Medium)

I was searching for a way to go swimming with my ostomy and this made it possible. I wear a 2 piece from Convatec. The waffer has a tape collar which gets sticky when it gets wet but is comfortable for me to wear. I have tried a few other waffers that could be used for swimming and they would work but not comfortable due to the placement of my stoma and belt line. This product has enabled me to go swimming and take a shower without having to worry about my waffer getting sticky and peeling away. The only downside is it works too well and could be tough to get off. I have to use more adhesive remover to change my waffer and bag as this seal does not come off easy. Living in Tampa FL where it is 100 degrees and being outside a lot it still holds on no matter how sweaty I get. This product will also help secure the waffer to your body and prevent any leaks. I would recommend this to anyone who has an ostomy as this could let you live your life again and swim with your family. Hope this helps anyone searching for something like this or related

SO much better than other items intended to keep the flange sticking to the skin. I now order 2 packs of these a month via the dme but before the DME was carrying them consistently I sometimes got them here on amazon---- I'm not willing to pay for much out of pocket for my daughter's ostomy supplies, but this stuff? Worth it's weight in gold. More fiddley to put on than other items (the semi circle things for instance) but stick SO WELL. Hold it on with your hand before taking off the white part--- your body heat will help it stick. Then hold it on again after taking off the white part. She wears her system for 4-5 days at a time and showers/swimming are NO problem (she just blow drys after). I will say that after putting it on, we wait 24 hours until she showers or swims so we always put it on right after a shower. I don't know that you HAVE to, but that works well for us.

I now use a Hollister ostomy pouching system that is flexwear (14505) and lock and roll pouch (18193). I just started using this system in January. This system fits my stomach roll very well. I’ve always had trouble with leakage around the flange. Sometimes I was changing my system every day. I read some reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. It is awesome. I’ve had no problems with leakage since putting this with my regular Hollister routine. I even went to Disney World for vacation and rode the tubing water ride in animal kingdom 3 times in a row. I was soaked to the skin. My ostomy stayed in place and never came off. I changed it the next morning after having it on for 4 days. I now can wear my ostomy as high as 5 or 6 days if I need to. Now I change it every 4th day and I have no problems putting this around my flange and taking it off. It only adds about 1 minute to my regular routine. If your having any trouble keeping your flange in place consider this product. I am so glad I found it.

I love these things!! I really wish you could put them on subscribe and save! That would be awesome! I use them around the outer edge of my bags seal. After I seal down the bag I just place the bag through the hole and once it is centered removed the covering and seal to skin!! I highly recommend using an adhesive pad to assure a very good seal

We first bought them to use when swimming. However now we use them all the time regularly because it negates the need to tent the bag and attachment shield when showering. There are two reasons why I give the shields only 4 stars: 1) the second half of the backing is extremely difficult to start to peel off and 2) some moisture gets in under the shield around the center cutout. The cutout could be a little smaller and therefore cover more in the middle. The shield is made of a fabulous super thin , skinlike material and adheres incredibly well. It protects the skin barrier and makes it stay on perfectly. Not covered by Medicare but well worth the extra expense. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

My husband had colorectal cancer surgery, and had a temporary (10 week) ileostomy. He developed a hernia right behind his stoma, which caused pouch systems to not adhere for very long. These sure seal rings were exactly what we needed. they worked with our hollister one and two piece systems. Worked with the hernia belt, and allowed us to be able to see if there was leaking around the wafer, without a big mess. what a life saver. Only wish home health had known about these, so we could have ordered them from med-line under our insurance. Now all is well. temp ileostomy was reversed. We are cancer free. Sure Seal Rings were the perfect solution to the pouch leak issue that developed with the hernia. Highly recommended.

Sure Seals have been a game changer for me. They make my ostomy bags last longer and they hold up extremely well when swimming. The added security helps the bag stick better and I feel way more confident going about my day. Amazing product, highly recommend!
