Great long grain brown rice
I usually buy a medium grain brown rice (Nishiki) but I thought I would give this a try. I so like it, and it works well in some recipes since it is not as starchy as Calrose rice.

Very nice flavorful rice. The scent is a stronger jasmine rice smell but. Just different not bad.

Good rice
Brown basmati is my favorite rice, and this tastes as good as any I've bought at the grocery store.

Delicious and nutritious. Cooks right every time.
The only rice I buy. Holds up well in long storage and cooks right every single time. An obvious asset for any emergency pantry too.

The best brown rice deal you’ll get right now
It’s brown rice...not a lot that can be messed up. I normally buy it from Aldis in a 2lb (or thereabouts) size but since civilization collapsed I can’t get it there anymore. They have a quick cook version but I don’t trust it. Lemme soak and rinse like normal so I know the arsenic has been rinsed out(case u didn’t know brown rice contains very high levels of arsenic just from existing—which u got to soak then rinse to get it out). I like that this brand offers a large size for a fair price. And it comes from a place I expect good brown rice, where my Aldi rice came from. The bag is very very stiff and it’s not reclosable. Being a Virgo, I like things orderly so I have med size binder clips (Dollar Tree) that I use for unruly bags so they seal properly. My house doesn’t have issues with ‘critters’ so this works for me—in a warmer climate you’ll need a sealable bin to keep bugs out...Because of the large size bag and my unpreparedness for End of Days, i don’t own a proper family size sealable rice container, so I used a clean Tupperware flour container that will hold all but 1/4 of the bag contents. So basically I filled my flour jar as much as possible and pinch clipped the bag shut containing the rest of the rice. My one complaint is the quality is not as good as Aldis. I’ve had a few bad grains in each batch of rice I cook. U can tell bc it’s like biting into a piece of bay leaf or something...it’s hard and crunchy in an unpleasant way and you’ll want to spit it out. Frankly I’d never gotten any bad rice in my Aldis bags and I’ve bought probably a couple hundred pounds by now (my main food group is brown rice). I don’t know how to figure out what’s good and what’s bad...i soak the grains, strain and rinse them toss in the InstantPot with water, some seasoning and a bit of ghee. I literally have zero clue how to detect a bad grain until I bite into it post-cooking(InstantPot pressure cooks it so there’s never any uncooked grains ever—these are just those bad ones the instructions tell u to discard, but not how to determine what bad ones look like). Overall it’s still a great value for the money. U get all the good points of brown rice, grown in a safe region and it’s delivered to ur door. I’d prefer to just walk into the store and buy it like normal humans used to but this will have to do until society rebuilds or completely unravels...haha
