Encyclopedia of Crystals, Revised and Expanded

I just got the book, and I already love it. I've got The Book of Stones, which is very in-depth, and informative, but the Encyclopedia of Crystals is the perfect counterpart to the book of stones. It's organized by color, which is the best part. It makes it easier to identify those gemstones and crystals you acquired awhile back and can't recall their name. The descriptions are just enough of an overview to not overwhelm you with info that you end up forgetting things. I think it would be a great book for beginners looking into crystals for the first time as well. Glad I picked it up.

I found this book at my local library. I'd checked it out and ended up loving it so much that I had to buy one of my own. I love the information in the book, as it goes very in depth with the background and uses for each individual crystal listed. It's also organized very well, making research and referencing information extremely efficient. I've even recommended this book to some friends online. The only thing I don't like is it's too big to fit in any of my bookshelves, but I'm fine leaving it out on my desk anyways.

Well-made, great info & imagery as well as indexes and providing multiple healing purposes for each gemstone/mineral. So inclusive of various important details for each such as MOHS hardness; geographical regions of origin; physical, metaphysical, & emotional healing purposes; chakra correlation. Love that the first pages actually explain history of crystals and basics of crystal formation, shapes, & properties, and arranged in groupings by color. Together with Cassandra Eason's Complete Crystal Handbook, it's all the reference one could ever need as an energy healer!! Judy Hall is my go to person when I need knowledge on crystals. My 1st book I bought by her is: The Illustrated Guide To Crystals. My 2nd was: The Crystal Bible (volume 1). What I like is that it is well organized! (This is for those who said there wasn’t an index!) There are TWO (2) INDEXES! 1st one lists all the crystals by name & the 2nd one gives you a list by what the crystals are used for. Ex: Acceptance - Anhydrite 243 & Cinnabar 50. And then the middle of the book has all the crystals listed by colors! Lets say you have this light green with brown like veining in it. Go to the green picture page & look for your crystal. You find your picture & it says it’s a Variscite, then it tells you things like where it’s from, zodiac sign, charka, what it is all used for, etc. A GREAT Book to add to your library!

This is a must have book if you are interested in Crystals! The photos are amazing and you can quickly get drawn into getting lost in a world of beauty and knowledge and inspiration. This book is organized by color, which you may or may not like; but you will get used too. There is a lot of very interesting information to be learned here. One of the things I really like about this book is that it points out if the crystal or stone is of a "high vibration" or "very high vibration", and even "exceptionally high vibration". It also points out toxicity's as well. This book is done so well that even your kid's will suddenly take an interest in crystals!

This book is perfect for any crystal enthusiasts! I have been diving into crystals for a few years and wanted a book that covered everything about the crystals and had a good selection, not just the basic 12. This book is large, high quality and great picture quality! It has so many crystals I have never even heard of and dives into every aspect of them. From where they are found, how rare they are physical and mystical attributes. I'm pretty confident that if you purchase this book, it will be the only one you need!

If you love Crystal and rocks this is a must. What a beautiful book! It’s quite different than the first three volumes. Highly recommend.

This guide is divided into sections mainly based on colours which link to the chakras, so very useful to see what works on what. It also brings astrology into it as well so saying which astrological signs the crystals are good for.
