My toddler LOVES these! They are great. Yes the chalk does fall into the back sometimes when it's getting down to a small chunk, but if you hit the holder facing downward the chalk falls out. We've been bringing these to the playground all summer and lots of kids have been playing with them (and being kind of rough with them) and they have held up very well.

This chalk holder does everything I need for sidewalk-sized chalk or railroad chalk. It holds the chalk securely, keeping my hands clean. It's easy to adjust as the chalk wears down and easy to load new chalk. The plastic is strong and lightweight. Highly recommended!

These work well but I wish the opening were a big larger as it was difficult to get the sidewalk chalk to fit

They keep hands from getting dirty from chalk but the chalk gets stuck and can’t get them out.

I really liked these but my chalk was too small and had to return them. I would re-purchase these when I have bigger chalk in the future as my child ages

Bought for a sunday school class. It held chalk well, kept small hands from getting all messy.

Would not hold onto chalk unless the chalk was almost fully extended. We buy chalk in bulk and the chalk comes in thick cylinders that slowly taper from a thicker end to a tiny bit thinner end. The thinner end was way to lose to hold in the grip, the thicker end was barely thick enough to hold in the grip. Needs tighter gripping mechanism.

As others have said, the chalk gets stuck in the back and then you're screwed. A little more forethought by the company could have fixed this. Wouldn't recommend but hard to find something comparable/better
