Recommended. These gloves are highly resistive to heat. Superior durability. I use them while BBQing and to add wood to my Solo Stove fire pit. I put them on as I dump the hot charcoal from the funnel into the BBQ and while I organize the briquettes. I add wood into the fire pit as it’s burning hot and I can’t feel a thing, completely insulated from the blazing heat. I wouldn’t push it though, after a few seconds it does get hot. Nevertheless, best gloves I’ve owned.

These gloves are top notch I bought for my husband and he loves them. He cooks a lot of pork butts so handling hot meat it keeps your hands safe from burn. Price was right and the value and quality of this product is great.

These are fantastic. I have good dexterity with my fingers which can be an issue with some heat resistant gloves. I use them to handle meat in my smoker, remove baking sheets from the oven, and even to pull pork that is too hot to handle with bare hands.

Summary: I had a pair of heat resistant gloves that I use in the kitchen, but they were only resistant to about 300 degrees, after which you could feel the heat penetrating into the gloves. This was especially true with the cast iron skillet I use. These had great reviews and were priced, with the available coupon, at just under $17 at the time. I couldn't resist the price to try them. I have a smoker I use quite often, and these have worked great handing anything I may put on the smoker. Pros: - Price: Even without a coupon, the price is pretty good. With the savings plus a coupon, these were too good to pass up - Quality: These are thick gloves, with a nice overall feel to them. They do not feel cheap. I have handled a few items straight out of the oven set at 400 degrees and never felt anything. - Easy to clean: These are easy to clean. I just use some soap and water while wearing them to make it easy to clean. - Sleeve length: The sleeves are longer than my other heat resistant gloves. This makes cleaning much easier and helps protect your arms further. Cons: - Stiffness: These gloves are very stiff, at least initially. Even after multiple uses, these remain stiff. It does not make them unusable, it just makes them a little more difficult to use if you need to pick up some smaller things like a knife, fork, or spoon. - Smell: Right out of the package, these have a very strong chemical smell to them. Mine went away after using them on the smoker a few times, but be ready for that smell when you first open the package. Overall Rating: Overall, I believe these are worth picking up if you do a lot of grilling or smoking. They really protect your hands and arms when handling hot items. If the chemical smell is too strong for you, you may want to try placing the hand portions inside the smoker, smoke them using charcoal, or just wait out the smell. Personally, the smell did not bother me. In my opinion, these are worth the buy, especially if you find them on sale.

I just received the gloves so I haven’t used them on the grill but I did pour boiling water over them to test them on heat . They worked really well. I just felt the warmth of the boiling water so I know they are going to keep my hands from getting burned. They have a nice grip to them. The flexibility in the fingers are a little stiff but manageable enough for the BBQ . I’m a large to extra large hand size and the gloves fit well . You will be happy if you purchase these. Great price too! I’ve been looking for awhile and glad I found this on Amazon.
