They really work!
I got these bed bug traps to put under every leg of my bed, and all 4 legs of the bench at the foot of my bed. I chose this specific product for two reasons. First, I liked that the bottom is reinforced, as, well, sometimes a lot of weight and downward force is exerted on the bed, and months later, these traps have been holding up well with zero signs of stress or cracking. Second, I wanted the square shape because the legs of my bench are very wide (~3" x 1"), and I was concerned they wouldn't fit inside circular bed bug traps. They fit great inside these square ones. The traps were easy to use. I slid them underneath each bed leg and bench leg. My bed has a ton of legs, plus 4 for the bench, so I am glad these come in a big 12-pack for the value. They've been in place for a few months now. I know these traps are effective because they've caught some others stray bugs. I purposely left the bugs inside the wells for days to see if they would crawl out. None of them did. They really work! If white doesn't clash with your decor, I personally recommend the white-colored ones for ease of seeing any bugs trapped inside them. Very happy with my purchase.

They work, buy them, but there are a lot of other things you need to do, too
This is an important part of my battle with the little bed bug monsters who found their way into my home. It’s important to read up on all of the different things you need to do in addition to using these specially designed coasters on the legs of every bed leg and couch and upholstered chairs in your home. Dust them with a bit of baby powder to make the surface even more slippery to ensure that the bed bugs can’t climb up and over not just one, but two, effective barriers to get to a human sitting on a piece of furniture protected by these. Again, study up- do not just throw out a mattress or couch and think your problem is solved; if you do this the bugs will just quickly disperse to other area in your house. I bought a box of 12 of these for the bed legs in my house, and they are helping me to defeat the unwelcome guests in my home. They do work at preventing most of the bed bugs from reaching people, but you must use an appropriate spray, too (following the directions), and you can’t think you won too early, because bed bugs can live a long time without a blood meal; there are a lot of other steps- putting all clothing in the dryer first and then seal them in airtight plastic bags, blow dry all around furniture in high heat, put clothing and or pillows in the freezer for a few days and then put them in airtight bags. Then spray again. Buy these. They are important to dramatically lessen the amount of bites you will get until you finally evict all of the creatures.

Product seems sturdy enough but 4x4 dimension is misleading
It seems sturdy enough. They arrived unbroken and unused and with the correct number of traps, unlike what others have posted. It also does not have adhesive inside which some purchasers were expecting but that is not the way these are supposed to work. The sides of the trough are supposed be be so steep and smooth that once bed bugs get in they can't climb out. The 4x4 dimension is misleading because they measured it at the top of the trough but it angles inward down to the bottom and also because the corners are chamfered which further reduces the opening for a square or rectangular post. My measurements indicate that the maximum size of a square post that will fit is 3-5/16", the max size for a round post is 3-11/16" diameter, and the max size for a rectangular post is 3-11/16"x2-15/16" [If the longer side of a rectangular post is less than 3-5/16" it will fit, if it is longer than that but less than 3-11/16" it will still fit if the shorter side is less than or equal to 3-5/16" minus the amount the longer side was over. Example: long side is 3-9/16" (which is +4/16"), then if short side is less than or equal to 3-1/16" it will fit.]

TruGuard Bed Bug Interceptors. Nice product
After reviewing several bedbug traps, this brand was a great choice. There are 12 bug interceptors per box, which is great as we put them under the bed legs and other furniture in the apartment. Based on reviews, TruGuard brand seemed more sturdy than other traps. The plastic is quite thick and worked well. I purchased white vs black, so any trapped bugs will be more visible. I recommend to also purchase "Diatomaceous Earth" powder to place in the moat. Using the powder along with traps will add another level of security in trapping/killing bugs. I would definitely buy this product again.

Easy and effective step in bedbug removal and prevention
These traps were one easy and passive step in successfully ending a bedbugs infestation in my room. I used these, plus cleaning and sealing any unnecessary fabrics, keeping the bed away from the wall or touching anything they could climb up, a mattress cover and boxspring cover, and especially a fine layer of diatomaceous earth powder (which you need a full gas mask for to avoid lung damage) everywhere and inside these traps. I got two sets to put on both my bed legs, my night stand, the chair my cat sleeps on, and my gaming chair. (After I put them under my bed, I started getting bites at my chair, which stopped after I added these under the chair.) I am so happy I could get rid of bed bugs myself with persistence but not too much stress and without using toxic chemicals.

Good secondary line of defense
If you are unfortunate to have these creatures you have learned that you need multiple layers of defense and have to implement lifestyle changes to combat them. I like the idea of these traps as these blood suckers do not like to crawl up plastic surfaces. The perimeter channel is a great idea and I took it to the next level by adding diatomacious earth inside the channel. The earth dries out the bugs and if they should make it past this line of defense they likely will not survive. The only problem I have with them is the width is large causing the to protrude past the edge of the bed. I stepped on the edge so many times and it is painful. I recommend the manufacturers round traps instead of the square if you plan to use them on the feet of your bed.

Peace of Mind
We encountered a bed bug at a hotel. I added these under beds at home for peace of mind and to watch for any hitchhikers. They are sturdy.
