It really works.. and fast!
Pictures speak for themselves. Patchy dead lawn to lush green pasture in weeks. I will say I’ve used probably 4-5 bags of this stuff to ensure continuity. Worth it though. I could walk barefoot on this all day or have a picnic it’s so nice. I could only imagine how much more this would sprout if I added some fertilizer to it.

Good for winter in Florida, zone 10A
I live in Tampa Bay that's zone 10A. I tried growing this grass in springtime and it grew fast and beautiful but it was dead in a matter of a couple of weeks. It won't stand the heat even if I watered twice a day. Now I tried again in early November and it grew slower but it has really filled in all the bare spots and it looks wonderful. Thin and soft grass like up north. I have cut it twice so far. It's end December and the photos I'm attaching were taken today. I will update when it dies. I hope it will go through all the winter season at least...

Great Scotts! Your turf is here.
SCOTTS products are amazing: clean, no waste to the seed, and the growth is even. A beautiful lawn awaits. Thanks AMAZON!

but this works great as a grass starter too
I was extremely skeptical about using this as the owners of our house said they tried to get grass to grow and couldn't. We have 2 dogs and needed to get something to grow to control them tracking mud into our house after it rains, which has been happening a lot here in Virginia the past few days. We even tried to transplant some of my neighbors grass after we helped till up a garden for her but it doesn't seem to be taking as well as the seeds have! I bought one 3lb bag and decided to give it a try. We have a ton of grass growing around it the back yard! I know this is meant to be a "filler" type, but this works great as a grass starter too. It was in the 90's when we planted it and we watered the back yard several times a day during that time to keep the seeds from burning up. It's been about a week and little tuffs are EVERYWHERE!! We plan to buy a lot more bags once we see what fills in over the yard and get a full lawn from this! below are before and after photos. We still have a long ways to go, but I'm confident that this will get the job done and grow us a full backyard! Ill update the photos as the time progresses!

It works fast!
I was shocked at how quickly grass grew after I put the seeds down - maybe a week or two. Def worth the purchase!

Read before you buy... TEMPORARY grass
I have to give the product 3 stars because, it does grow and it looks good and then, it dies.... It does say TEMPORARY grass. But I scratch my head thinking, who would want to buy and plant grass only for it to die?

It grows! And grows….and grows!
5 days after seeding bare spots in my mixed grass/ weed lawn its filling in. I raked a few spots before planting then got lazy and just scuffed up most of the other spots with golf shoes I happened to have on . It's growing everywhere. Update. I live in the Northeast. It's January. I had to mow my lawn because of this miracle grass. Something I normally don't have to do from October-April. I'm going to rip up the rest of my lawn in the spring and reseed with this. Update 2. March 1st, grass kept growing through the winter. Had to mow the 4 inches it had shot up since January!

Junk.
I planted this mixed evenly with a Fescue mix. The Fescue was sprouting shoots within 3-4 days and was 3-4 inches tall within 7 days. It's been several weeks now, and I haven't seen one of these seeds germinate. If you are lucky enough to get it to germinate, it will die off (it's not perennial) so you'll just have a bare spot the next year if you don't mix another grass type that is perennial in with it. I've never had good luck with Scott's brand of grass seed in general (I've tried several strains) and when planting lesser known brands of grass seed I've had much better results. Either I've got the dud bag of the 3 or 4 types of Scott's seed I've bought or it's just not good grass seed in my experience. I hope the rest of you have better luck than I have with it:)
