Evening Tea

As a diehard coffee drinker of 35 years I never thought I’d see the day that I would be giving tra a phenomenal rating. I started developing very painful acid reflux from coffee and had to switch to tea. I did a lot of research on which black teas have a high amount of caffeine. Assam & Darjeeling came up as two of them. I ordered this tea based on its reviews as well as the Darjeeling. I had also tried Earl Grey extra bold, but the Bergamont oil tasted soapy to me. And I am not one of those people that think cilantro tastes soapy. Anyway, the Darjeeling made my tongue really dry / uncomfortable and it wasn’t bold enough for me. I have been drinking this Assam afternoon tea every day for two weeks now and I absolutely love the flavor! I’m using two teabags in 16 ounces of water, a tablespoon of honey and a couple of tablespoons of half-and-half. I was drinking a half a cup of half-and-half in my coffee and happy to be cutting back on that for calories and heart health. I genuinely look forward to drinking this tea… whenever I take my first sip, I am blown away by how much I enjoy the flavor. I always thought tea drinkers were another species; I didn’t understand them at all. But now I have joined the tea tribe 😊

My go to decaf black tea. Drink a cup every evening. Smooth and not bitter, but still strong black tea in decaf

This is a great tea. The aroma is awesome. You can smell that it's very fresh and of good quality. The value for the money when purchasing this tea from Amazon is really good.

I've only met one Ahmad tea I didn't care for, (cardamom), this tea is not that. It is just a really nicely flavored decaf tea that is great for sipping while the evening winds down. I take mine with milk and a touch of stevia, but it's delicious on its own if you like straight tea, my hubby says.

English Afternoon…not gonna lie, I’m not a tea expert… but if you think English Breakfast has too much ‘bite’, try this! Great with the afternoon cookie/biscuit…

Delicious tea. Great for evening sipping. BUT the tea bags are flimsy and we often find a lot of ground tea at the bottom of our cups. Buy it if you don't mind that annoyance.

I received a tin of this tea as a gift many months ago. I did not open it for many months after I received it, but once I finally did try it a few weeks ago, I was very impressed with the fresh flavour. Despite having stayed in the cupboards for months, it tasted absolutely wonderful, really fresh and refreshing. I have been brewing it in a small, four cup teapot with a few tea spoons sugar. I add just one cup of boiling hot, distilled water and let it steep for a while. Then, after it cools, I add another two and half cups of tepid, distilled water. Once completely cooled, I pour it over a glass full of ice, and it tastes heavenly. I drink the whole pot over the course of the day, and I am amazed that it does not cause me any stomach upset. Normally, I can only drink either one coffee, tea, or soda pop with caffeine a day. If I drink more than that, I have stomach upset and oesophageal spams, but not with this Ahmad English Breakfast Tea! It is a dream come true for tea lover with stomach problems. I finally used up all of the teabags a week or so ago. I looked around town for it, but no where I shop seems to carry it, so I ordered the pack of six from Amazon with standard shipping. It arrived today, only three days after I ordered it! I am amazed by quickly Amazon ships. I would not hesitate to give the highest recommendation to this tea and to Amazon. I will buy it again once I use up the current supply.

The tea bags are individually packaged with a tag on a string and easily make two large cups of strong tea. The flavour is light but rounded and very refreshing. Thoroughly recommended.

I love Ahmad tea and was so pleased to come across a decaf version. It tastes wonderful - my new favourite decaf tea.
