I’ve never used a sleep mask before and I don’t plan to sleep in this, so my needs maybe different from yours. I chose these for when I have a headache and have to stay home during the day, and the light is filtering through the blinds. Also fourin the evening when I have to sit in my chair, and my husband wants to watch TV, because the lights flickering from the TV are torture to a headache. Since I can make these masks work for me I’m going to give you the positives and the negatives so you know what to expect: PROS: The material is really nice. They are beautifully sewn. I hand washed them without trouble before wearing them and they came out fine. The elastic is good. The buckle works perfectly. Neither are uncomfortable or annoying. They are light weight and extremely soft and luxurious feeling. They rest lightly on my eyes and face with the elastic extended. CONS: They come nowhere near to blocking light 100%. They DO touch my eyelids and eyelashes, if that’s a problem for you. I’m not used to it, but I expected it, and I think I can get used to it. Of course, given an alternative I’d rather not have to. I have a large ”hat” size for the strap, but an medium face and eye shape for the mask, with an angular nose. For me it almost completely shuts out light around the edges, but a little light can leak inaround the nose. If I press the edges in lightly, I can almost 100% close the gap. But I’m not moving around and I’m not sleeping, I’m sitting there in my chair. If you need 100% coverage this probably won’t work for you unless you have close set eyes, smaller eyes and a flatter nose. As for light blocking, it’s not bad with my eyes closed, but if I open my eyes, I can clearly see light filtering through the texture of the fabric. Not bright, but pervasive. My solution is going to be to take the second mask, sit at my sewing machine, and neatly stitch the two together around the edges. Hand sewing would probably do, but might make the material pucker up unless you’re really good at hand sewing. When I lay one over the other, the light blocking is perfect, it’s still not heavy. If they sold one with a darker layer of light blocking - or combined the two into one mask, I would’ve been happy to pay for $10 for just one. I can make this work for me, and I’m perfectly happy to do so because I don’t want to fiddle around with second-guessing what other brands might possibly have MOMME ratings and be actual silk, rather than polyester for $10 or less. For the price, these are absolutely fabulous, but you have to take those other things into consideration or it might be a problem for you. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. They are pretty yummy.

Very comfortable, smooth and and dark. Large enough to block out all light and helps me sleep soundly. I Highly recommend

These are soft, easy on your skin, wash nicely and a great price for a light blocking sleep aid!

A really good mask! The feeling of wearing it is very nice, as well as the padding inside that adds to the comfiness. The adjustable strap is also good for fitting it to your liking and seems to be built sturdy and to be durable. The mask is on the bigger side and covers quite a bit from the nose to the top of your head. Blocks light very well too. This could have become my favorite mask, but there is one problem this one has that Alaska Bear does not. I have tried both and Alaska Bear has better straps. They have a soft lining on the inner side of the strap that does not scratch against your skin or irritate you while moving or sleeping. As a side sleeper, I move from side to side and wake up with a bit of pain above my ear from the strap on the BeeVines. If that could be improved, then these might just be a win for me in both pricing and value of product!

I’m obsessed! My bed faces my window, so I always woke up to the sun in my eyes and it would give me the worst headaches. These block out any light so well! I’m able to sleep even during the daytime with these on. They’re super soft and gentle on my skin, so I definitely recommend if you have sensitive skin! The band is adjustable so I was able to make it fit just right without constantly slipping off.

Love these sleep masks! I've had many, all kinds, these are the best ones yet. Pure silk was the draw for me but these are so much more. The size is perfect, blocks out all the light, not bulky so there is no discomfort for side or stomach sleeping, stays is place. I'm actively eliminating junky polyester that has seemingly become a staple in everything that touches our skin and I am so happy that this mother/daughter team made these lovely masks available at a fair price. It came with a little card and a swatch of silk with some information on testing genuine silk vs. synthetic, cleaning how to and an informational little thank you blurb. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like I have to for these sleep masks. They are very obviously high quality silk and made with love! The package included a thank you note from the small business and a guide on how to tell real silk from fake silk with a sampling of the silk they use. The scent wasn’t artificial or plasticky at all, they smelled faintly like vinegar which is a fabric softening trick and not something I typically mind smelling but if you’re sensitive to it I’d give these a wash before wearing. They are adjustable so they can stay in place pretty well and they’re comfortable. In my opinion they strike the balance of just thick enough to block out light but not so thick they trap heat, though obviously any sleep mask will trap some heat. They’re a little slippery but it’s silk, that’s to be expected, and you can adjust them to be tighter so they don’t slip as often. Overall they work well and I would highly recommend them!

Silky, soft. I really like the material and the price point. However SIDE SLEEPERS: the strap adjustment clip sits behind the ear. Made the product unusable for me after adjustment since I sleep on my side. I think it would be nice for back sleepers! Will try to hunt down my old brand
