It's Powerful
I threaded my steel bike crank arm with this and it is sharp and did a great job. I had to put a pipe over the end of my wrench to twist it. Make sure to use lots of lubrication when using it. Overall very pleased with the quality and price. A+

A good way to thread anew or renew old threads
Perfect for my project in soft iron casting. If you don't already know, it is essential to keep the taper operation lubricated. Slow and easy does it. A quarter turn, back off, then a quarter turn more. Repeat the process until done. Lubricate when needed. The price is good. I'm not sure how long these will last but nothing lasts forever.

Eventually I got the correct sized tap
The tapered tap is great for tapping by hand. I have a socket that I needed to #8 bolt to its side for turning a "D" shaped axel. This tap di the trick. A word of warning, the first delivery of an #8-32 taper tap was the wrong size. The packaging was labeled that the tap was an 8-32 but the inscription on the side of the tap read 6-32. After getting Amazon to ship me a replacement with the correct size and now all is well.

Junk and incorrect
“Drill America” but literally just says china and received 3 taper taps instead of bottoming taper and plug

Used to tap holes in composite wood rifle stock. Worked fine cut clean threads in the substrate.

This item is a bit hard to find but was exactly what I was looking for. Quality looks good but I only had one hole to do so I can’t judge how long it will last but I see no issues.
