I had an older style Casio Pro Trek Atomic Solar watch that had no mechanical components. I think this version is much more stylish, and I find it easier to view. But I will warn anyone buying one of these that because it does a lot, unless you have a better memory than me, you'll find yourself referring back to the included manual to learn how to do some things it's capable of. But that's more a critique of me than the product. My only real complaint is with the nightlight. It's clever in that it uses an integrated UV LED to charge the luminescent hands, but because of the angle, it really doesn't do that good a job. So nighttime viewing is not as good as with, say, the fully LCD versions of this watch. But it does everything it says, I've never had the battery run below H (high), and it's quite durable (I wear it every day and I'm both quite active and do a lot of hands-on activities that should have scratched it up a lot, and yet it still looks as good as when I took it out of the box). My only long-term concern is whether the mechanics will eventually fail (my expectations are high since my previous all LCD Casio is over 14 years old and still works fine -- including all of the sensors).

I've been wearing Casio watches for over 50 years and I must say this is one if yhe best looking watches they have ever made. It has many of the features the G-Shocks have withouth the super thick case. I am thin so some watches are just too large but the 6600 fits perfectly. If you look at the measurements be away they are adding the crown and buttons into the figure. I had also ordered screen savers to protect the mineral glass from getting scratched. I recommend it. PROS: Beautiful and masculine. VERY easy to read even at an angle. Nice size for this yype of watch. Many features but even though I won't be using some of them I need a compass. Atomic clock is a HUGE plus for us time police. 😃 Solar powered so battery should last 20 years. World time and it's very easy to set. 5571 internal movement is easy to use. Very nice silicone band with quick release. Plenty of band holes for thinner wrists. Black buckle looks good. Ither bands will fit.if needed. Easy to use backlight. Glow in yhe dark work fairly well. LOUD alarm. Negative display screen is easy to read. Tells temperature but it must be off your wrist for at least 29 minutes. (This is normal) Altimeter must be set to be accurate and then it works well. Tutorial videos available online. Packed in a wooden box so it looks nice as a gift. CONS: Pricey compared to some other great Casio watches. Band does not have a locking or wratched keeper. Light could be brighter. FYI: Although not a thick watch it may be too thick for formal wear. Makes people want to be like you. 😬 This is a fantastic watch. As I get older and my vision dims it's good to have an easy-to-read-at-a-glance watch. If you are looking for a G-Steel or G-Shock but watch something a bit classier this may be what you're looking for. Highly recommended

Owned for 6 months. Prior to owning this watch, I had the PRW-3500 for about 7 years. Still one of the best watches, zero maintenance and does the job it was designed to do with no fuss. Still going strong today (just sits on the window seal to keep the battery topped off). The main reason for purchasing this watch was the design while keeping the same functionality as the PRW-3500 (literally the same watch except it has hands). The PRW-3500 was a bit to 'nerdy' as I got older. If you do not know this watch has a solar panel 'ring' along the edges of the face, it's not a gimmick, it works extremely well, hyper efficient. From my experience the battery's lifespan will typically last greater than 10 years. In this case expect minimal maintenance until then. Prior experience with the PRW-3500, the watch band will give out in 2.5 to 3 years. Hopefully it is not the case with this band. This band is stupid comfortable out of the box, soft and flexible rubber. Altermieter, it works... but not accurate enough, usually off 1 to 2 hundred feet, even if I set the correct altitude, come back after a week its off. Compass, its a compass, works well enough, and will get you where you need to go, however would only use it in emergency situations (your last option). Do not have much experience with the bromater, or knowledge how to use it nor had the need too. The watch is easy to read, but not like a digital watch. However, the hands pop out and are clearly visible/readable in all lighting conditions. This sell listing does not do the lighting on the watch any justice. When you activate the lighting the entire face, not just the hands, illuminates, and along with an LED illumination, everything that is white on the watch is fluorescent, and will illuminate passively, including the white lines on the outer portion of the bezzel. The small display has an LED illumination as well. The watch is very comfortable, and is a watch that I can wear 24/7 without the need of ever taking it off, and I don't. One thing that is a MUST BUY with this watch is a screen protector, like the PRW-3500, the glass is mineral, it's not if, it's when the glass will be scratched. The link below is the protector I found to be the correct glass size, it fits almost perfectly, 38mm, which is annoying because the glass is 38mm. En general es un reloj que cumple con creces su función y su diseño, es mi primer Protrek y no podría estar más satisfecho, se que será un reloj que me durará décadas y estoy muy feliz con él. En general, este reloj es una caja de monerías que le servirá más que nada a los que gustan de actividades al aire libre como ciclismo o senderismo. *Tiene una pantalla de display negativo grande y elegante con retro iluminación, así como un LED que ilumina las manecillas y los números. *Los números, las manecillas y el contorno del reloj tienen un material fluorescente que facilita la lectura en entornos de total oscuridad. *Es resistente al agua, hasta 10 BAR de presión. *Las correas son de fácil instalación, por lo que puedes comprar nuevas de la misma medida y personalizar tu reloj (La medida es de 24mm) CONTRAS *El diseño es muy deportivo, así que no es un reloj que puedas usar en ocasiones muy formales (aunque obviamente no fue hecho para ello). *La pantalla puede ser difícil de leer al ser un display negativo, en especial en entornos de poca luz, al atardecer o en habitaciones medianamente oscuras. *La interfaz del menú es relativamente compleja, sumado a esto, el manual no hace un buen papel al explicar el funcionamiento de la lógica de la interfaz, es mejor buscar algún video en Youtube sobre como configurarlo. *el sujetador de la correa se mueve con el uso normal, por lo que constantemente debo ajustar el sujetador para que no sobresalga el excedente de correa perforado.

Keeps working after salty ocean! I washed them in a drinking water after, each time. I can read time from any angle at huge distance! Always fully charged. Compas and air pressure stat!! Light is more than enough to see at night. Luminescent keeps it for a few hours at least! Radio bands - no need to do any maintenance - ALWAYS CHARGED from the Sun and ALWAYS CORRECT TIME from radio bands. One minor drawback - I find the settings crown less convenient than just buttons.

Big face dial, very visible numerals, plenty of features for a very beautiful watch. Can wear it all day indoor & outdoor, very comfortable.

The watch is bright, stylish and super easy to read. The functions work perfectly. World time, compass, temperature, timers and more. Water proof and the best back light ever. Lights up a soft color and doesn't flash your eyes out! Nice large face without being oversized like some of the G series. I love this watch.
