This chain is quite lovely and has a good presence for a relatively inexpensive chain. That said, it's made of thin strands braided together, and it's possible for one strand to break if it's lived in too hard. If that happens it's not always noticeable right away. So I would say to buy it, but check it closely fairly frequently to make sure it's OK. It's so pretty, you wouldn't want to lose it! I have had this chain in the 2mm width and had it break one strand, so you can trust me.

I purchased this to replace a broken thinner pendant necklace and wanted something sturdier to attach both ends to pendant. It is just as pictured and is of ideal make according to my personal jeweler. I am very pleased with this purchase

I absolutely love this necklace!! It’s very pretty and sturdy. I never take it off. I sleep in it, shower in it, swim in it, work out in it, and it still looks like the day I purchased it. The clasp is a claw clasp that is very strong.

I purchased this before I fully understood the ins and outs of chain pricing. This is 14k gold, 1.5mm thick and 1.6g in weight. Pricing for this item works out to $81.25/gram, which is on the expensive side for 14k chain jewelry. Aside from that, despite the 1.5mm thickness, the small amount of material used to fabricate this necklace makes it very light weight and delicate. Although a nice looking necklace, in my opinion, this would not hold up well over time, and would be subject to easy breakage. My initial ignorance aside, I gave it 3 stars to reflect the relatively high price and to reflect how delicate it is for the width. I returned this necklace and purchased another that has been made with more material, and is thus much stronger. The seller issued a refund, which made me happy. AS such, I added a star for good customer service to total 4 stars for this product.

I don't mind paying over $200.00 for a chain for my wife, but the picture is totally misleading. The chain is "TINY", a spaghetti noodle is three times thicker. I will see if my wife even accepts it as a gift for her birthday on Saturday. Probably end up returning it. Very disappointed.

The reviews weren’t kidding about this 14K gold wheat chain. It’s light and yet has a very nice weight to it. It’s definitely strong and you could practically do an exercise with it on. I bought this because I wanted a slightly longer and thicker white gold wheat chain than the 20 inch 1.5 mm one that I had for my cross pendant. So I bought this one, and based on my picture, you can see the difference that 0.5 mm makes with my cross attached to my new wheat chain.

Had to return. The clasp was too big for my charm.

A nice chain (16", 2mm), good weight, attractive. The connecting ring (not shown in any of the photos) for the lobster clasp, however, is much too small and thin for this price point and a chain of this weight. Not only is it difficult to connect, it appears to be a pinch ring and not soldered, and thin enough that there is actually a concern with the clasp coming loose and losing either chain or pendant or both. Minimally adequate, and I've seen much better connectors on much cheaper chains. It's hard to believe this passed design criteria for even moderately priced jewelry.
