TS1007 Table Saw Dado Cutter Insert

Excellent product, is cast metal and not plastic. Fits correct and is easy to install and remove. Excellent quality like all Bosch products. If you have a Bosch table saw you must have this insert. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my Bosch 4100-09 Worksite 10 Inch Table Saw - To use with my Freud SD-208 8" Dado Set. Usual Bosch quality - Made of heavy gauge metal (no flex whatever) - Fits perfectly - Easy leveling with screws. It comes with a 19/32" wide opening for the Riving Knife (not pictured in Amazon's current product photo) - Which makes for easy use by lowering the RK - Instead of having to remove it. But... BEWARE! As is described - This is a "Dado Insert" - NOT a Zero Clearance Insert. It comes with a dado blade opening: 1-1/16" wide. Since the maximum dado able to be cut with the 4100-09 is 13/16" - Even when using it for a "max" size dado stack - There's a clearance on each side of the dado set of 1/8" - Ergo... Pretty useless for use as Zero Clearance Insert. For dado's thinner than that - Even worse. It works absolutely great for use in cutting tenons/rabbit/lap joints. If you want a Zero Clearance Insert - Spend more $$ - Buy Leecraft Zero Clearance Inserts - And cut your own ZC grooves in them. It also works great for use as a template to make your own ZCI's. Limited, but adequate instructions are provided - Along with a 3/32" wide metal "accessory outer dado washer"... "designed to secure a 1/2" to a maximum 13/16" dado set with the arbor nut in place". When using dado sets on the 4100-09 - The 4100-09's outer blade arbor washer is used as the inner blade washer. Then either the "accessory washer" provided - Or the 4100-09's inner blade washer (for 1/2" or less dados) - Is used between the dado set and the arbor nut. Great for the price - But limited in use a a dado insert. Note: All measurements were taken with digital calipers.

When you need one of these, there is no substitute. If you want to cut dados, and support the material and prevent hazards presented by that gaping hole in the table, you must have one of these. I am entirely satisfied with all the Bosch products I have purchased so far, and all through Amazon. This item is no exception. It fits perfectly, the height and level are adjustable using four set screws, one in each corner, and the finish is superb. It simply snaps in place quickly without securing screws and doesn't ever move or get in the way of material moving across the table.

Solid, fit well, set screws were a bit small but adjusted easy. Works with stacked dado or when using regular blades at an angle. Well worth the money.

This insert works great. Easy to level and install. Unlike other reviews, the instructions that now come with the insert clearly show how to use the washers so the dado blade is aligned properly. The one issue with a dado stack on the Bosch saw is any stack more than a 5/8" forces the right-most blade off the shoulder of the arbor and onto the threads. The diameter of the arbor at the threads is slightly less than the solid shoulder and causes the dado blade cut slightly deeper.
