This book is excellent and informative as it should be, written by the man that should know!

One of three books you need to rebuild your Norton Commando (Parts book; Factory manual). This is by far the best manual of how to tear down, inspect, and rebuild, with upgrades described in length. Plenty of room for notes in the margins as well, and the hard cover takes abuse well. TIP: Amazon sells a 4-ring clear binder you will need when the factory Parts book's binding immediately falls apart. You can fit both the Factory manual and this book into the remaining space in the binder. Multiple excellent quality colour photos and illustrations per page. The latest, greatest culmination of commando overhaul knowledge to date. I still can’t believe there is a newly (2020) published overhaul book for a bike that’s 50 years old. More evidence of the commando’s superbike reputation.

I bought this book for its thoroughness in describing how to perform an accurate restoration of a classic motorcycle. I intend to use this information as a guide on how to use restore a classic car.
