Great bag!
Yo. Let me tell you. Very satisfied with this bag. I was using a Kelty 70 ltr Tornado. Don't need that anymore. The pictures on Amazon don't do this bag any justice. What they don't show you are all of interior zippered pockets, a big ole pouch inside the main compartment for socks, hat, etc. The front pocket has interior pockets too! Plenty of storage for paracord, fire starters, etc and easy to get to! Well made and HUGE! For 60$, you can not beat this bag. Great for 3 or 4 day hikes. Totally blown away. Did I already say that?

Rugged and capable
This is a very solid bag that can be used for multiple purposes. I use it for a "get home" or "vehicle bag" to keep supplies in that I may need in the event my car breaks down. It has ample room to keep things you need while waiting on help, minor tool kit, first aid, food, temporary shelter, emergency survival kit, etc. MOLLE webbing on the back and sides allow for attaching extra pouches, etc. that you may want/need. This bag also comes with a space between the outer bag and inner bag that you can stash a helmet, shoes, etc. Compression straps allow you to cinch the bag down tight so its not sagging. One of the reasons I bought this bag was the hip strap. This allows for a much more comfortable pack in the event you need to leave your vehicle and begin hiking somewhere. It's not overly padded but it will do a good job keeping the bag from bouncing around. Did I mention the lifetime warranty? Yes, it has that as well. I very good bag for a good price!

Love this thing.
Big ol' backpack. It's a lot bigger than I expected, so it took me by surprise when I started wearing it, because it was a lot bigger than normal backpacks. I got used to it quickly, now I use it almost everyday. It's quality is very apparent, very strong, very handy (its got so many pockets and molle straps). All around great backpack. I plan on buying another once this one breaks (which won't be anytime soon).

Mostly good
The backpack is mostly seems like a great durable 3 day pack. A few minor issues. If you're looking at the dimensions thinking this would make a great sized carry on for flying, there's a couple issues. Size listed here is the same as on the label. But that size only accounts for the inner main pouch if you don't stuff it too much. Then there's 2 side pouches that'd hold a quart SS vacuum insulated water bottle, each, making the total width closer to 18". On the front, there's a somewhat thin pouch that could probably hold a medium sized college text book, adding at least another 1.5-2" in that dimension. I flew with it recently and was able to stuff it under the seat in the middle seat (aisle seats seem to have smaller under seat capacity), but it was only lightly packed with squishable clothes and only in the main compartment. It was really comfortable to carry and most the zippers and straps seem solid enough. The clasp for the upper cinch straps seems out of place since it doesn't look like it'll hold up to repeated opening and closing like the buckles on the lower cinch strap. This top clasp (pictured) needs to be opened and closed every time you open the main compartment and fold it out flat so i don't know why they made it such a janky clasp. So depending on your intended use of this pack, and a minor upgrade to the upper cinch clasp, this makes a great sturdy pack for the price.

This bag is very large.
Bag seems well built and has a ton of storage. It’s bigger than what I wanted as a bug out bag but it will work. Holds everything I need and still has plenty of room.

Incredible!
SOG is an incredible company. I bought my first SOG Seal Pup (knife) over a decade ago and still have it. I didn't realize until recently that they made other products such as these backpacks. I consider myself a "casual prepper" (not a "doomsday prepper") and I bought this bag to act as a secondary bug out bag or get home bag. I already have a smaller bag that I use, but I wanted something bigger that would act as my addition supplies bag that I could also use for camping. This bag checked all those boxes. It's HUUUUGE. There's no issue of space for this thing. My backpacking bag is barely bigger. - Things I like: The space of course. The options. There are tons of options for organizing, and not just the 1 "front organizer" that you see on most bags. There's smaller pockets and mesh pockets all throughout this bag. I love that 1 of the mesh pockets has zippers on the top and bottom, at first I didn't understand this but then when I opened this part of the bag one day and flipped down this section, it made sense, so that either flipping it down or not, you can access the pouch either way. I love that the main compartment and the smaller front compartment are basically separate with a large gap between that has mesh sides so that you could stuff a sleeping bag or tent or whatever you need quickly without having to take off your bag or open it. The main compartment has about 6 other mesh pockets within it which is great so not everything is just dumped into the main part, you can have some things in these areas while still using the main compartment. Things I don't like: The zippers, they are a little wonky. The small pockets within the vertical side compartments, theyre so tight and flat to the walls that you can barely fit anything in them except paper or cards. Overall, it's the best bang for your buck, especially when it comes to its storage capacity.

Value for the money
Durable, molle all over, comfortable, great for the price. Im just under 6’ n it fits well. I pack out, run and ride, hard, w this bag. W one bike I do hv to pull the aluminum bar “frame” out to hv the load settle correctly on my back, but otherwise the frame is in at all other times. Far less quality bags at this size will cost close to the same, yet not provide nearly the value. Cons: 1) Im broad, n i find that the shoulder strap yoke set up is somewhat too narrow for me. I do not (n cud not comfortably) use the sternum strap. But that does not encumber me enuf to be a deal breaker vs the pros of this bag. 2) the outside front compartment isnt stitched into the bag all around. It suspends somewhat by 2 webbing straps on the hi side, w a sort of mesh bag attachment point to the bag at the bottom. The webbing straps are looped w a break free clasp, making cinching this compartment firmly against the bag itself a chore that feels insecure at best. I mostly keep things out of that mesh bag area and i under load that first outside compartment so as not to challenge the cinch of the compartment to the bag, as im bouncing around on the run or ride n dont need to invite a malfunction. 3) the long, side compartments zipper very oddly. Theres a strong canvass lip overhanging the zipper, which closes by turning a hard 90 degrees at the top, where that canvass lip is even firmer. Its a struggle to open or close these side compartments. Overall: Much value n versatility in this bag despite my personal cons. Ive secured in a holster and a scabbard, n they both firmly hold like original equipment. For my purposes n for my conceivable needs, im very happy with this bag so far.

Great backpack for the price
I had already purchased a couple of these backpacks, in black, in the past. Was so glad when they finally came out with them in Desert Digital Camo. As can be seen in the photos, I've already attached some molle accessories, in order to expand the capabilities of this already impressive pack. I'd absolutely recommend this product for those who need a quality backpack, but don't want to spend exorbitant amounts of money on the high end backpacks. The SOG brand doesn't disappoint. With the capabilities of this backpack.... I'm certain that this would make for a Bug-Out-Bag, and then some. And you don't have to pay the hundreds of dollars for a high end pack. Also please remember that it is backed by a manufactures Lifetime Guarantee.
