The only proper 1/2 inch poly tubing
Looking for some poly tubing that fits all of those thousands of 1/2 inch (0.500) drip irrigation fittings available on amazon? This is literally the only one I could find that actually fits. For some weird reason all the others I tried are actually 3/5 inch (0.600) id instead of 1/2 inch id. Like all poly tubing it's rather stiff and will happily kink rather than bend. I just hit it with a hair dryer to warm it up a bit while I'm bending it. I still don't get 90 degree bends out of it so I bought some elbow fittings for that. The bottom line is that poly tubing was the only type that would work for my application (not vinyl, pvc, etc), and this is the only one that fit. If you don't specifically need poly tubing, stick to vinyl or pvc since they're easier to work with.

Used for pool heater - outstanding!
I use this product as a pool heater- zip tie the tubing in a big 500’ coil to a plastic pallet and have a submersible pump grab water from my pool, run it through the coils in the sun, then back to the pool. It works amazing and the tubing has not failed after 2 years in the direct sun. Folks that have complained about difficulty joining this hose to other attachments have either not used hot enough water, or need to try using a hair dryer to increase elasticity, as I’ve done MANY couplings and never had an issue. Working out the kinks in the inevitable twists from the coil can be a pain, but is very manageable, especially if you cut the hose, work out the twists, then use a 1/2” to 1/2” male coupler to join both ends together. There are loads of uses for this, but I’ve got 3,000’ of it heating my pool for a fraction of the cost of much less efficient premade heaters.

Slightly undersized for many connectors, but sturdy and inexpensive
I ordered this product to add a new section of irrigated garden space. I normally buy from a commercial distributor, but found this at a great price, and it arrived very quickly. The tubing is sturdy, but still bends easily as it is installed. My only issue is the inside diameter is slightly smaller than other brands I've used over the years. hat made using connectors that have to be forced into the end of the tubing a little difficult. When working with the product outside on a hot day, I could leave the tubing out in the sun and it made it a little easier to use, but when the tubing was cold, it was a bit of a struggle to insert connectors. When installing emitters, I found they inserted into the side wall of the tubing just as well as other brands, and I've had no issues with leaks, from connections or emitters or taps inserted into the sides. We're half way through summer here, and the product has help up perfectly. I can still recommend this tubing, but would suggest using it while the temperature is hot, or at least have a bucket of hot water on hand to warm the ends up to allow connectors to be inserted easier.

Works good
This connects well with my emitters and the barbs in the main line. After a handful of times being pulled off the barbs they deform with swollen ends making a looser fit. I could have cut off a half inch and reconnected it, but I decided to buy some 1/4" spring clamps to go over the barbs because I didn't want any popping off while I was watering.

A great alternative to Lowe’s kits at a fraction of the price
This drip irrigation part is alternative to the kits and brand sold at Lowe’s and it’s a fraction of Lowe’s pricing. We started with the Lowe’s kit and after deciding to convert our 30’x120’ garden to drip to provide better irrigation and save water, we needed a more affordable solution. We bought 1/4” and 1/2” tubing on Amazon, drippers, and all the 1/4” & 1/2” couplings and fittings. We installed 300 drippers on 6 zones in the garden. 100 drippers on 2 zones in the front landscaping. The 1/4” polyethylene line on Amazon is a little tougher to slide over fittings, but 3 seconds under a heat gun it slides over easily (don’t go more than 3 sec). 50 drippers is about the max that can function on a traditional garden hose bib. We run each zone for about 30 min daily here in Florida (we haven’t had rain in a while and soil drains quickly). We were running sprinklers for much longer and the plants still weren’t getting enough water. A few days on drippers was quite a noticeable difference. Buying all the parts on Amazon saved us 1/2 or more on the project.

Line undersized, unusable
I just recently tried to use the line it was undersized and would just slide through 1/2 " connectors with almost 0 resistance. it was unuseable

Works
It's a hose. It works. Easier if you have a tiny butane lighter to warm the end before pushing it onto the barbs

Used this to make a solar pool heater and it worked great. Didnt kink, easy to set in a spiral. Dont think there would be any issues when using it for what its intended for as sprinkler hose.

I expected this hose to be soft material but it is very stiff and solid.
