The best Cherry preserves I have ever Tasted
This is the best quality cherry preserves I have found in any country. The taste is fantastic and is as good as any one could expect from home canning if you are in the right region. It may be a bit expensive, however, it will become a breakfast staple the first time you try it.

Quite good
This spread has a bold flavor that doesn’t need anything else to make it taste good. I tried it with and without butter on crackers and liked it better all by itself. The butter seemed to take away from the unique flavor. It only has three ingredients, so it’s something I would naturally be drawn to. The texture is similar to apple butter and this makes it different from what I find in local stores. It would be good on English muffins or toast. It’s quite satisfying and surprisingly low in calories. It’s not overly sweet. The lemon gives it a tartness without making it overly tart or bitter. It’s just right for balancing the flavor. The jar was intact and it had a decorative paper top over the lid which made it attractive. Perfect for gift giving. It’s not cheap, but the ingredients are just like homemade, so that makes it a bargain. I’ve seen homemade jars of fruit spreads at much higher prices. I tried some in plain yogurt and it was an interesting combination. It’s also good straight from a spoon if you can’t find an excuse to eat it and you don’t have English muffins or bread handy.

Got a new jam goin' on!
I have NEVER gone through a jar of jam as fast as I went through this jar of D'arbo raspberry preserves. Seriously, I thought I had already identified and claimed a favorite preserve/jam/jelly/spread brand, and it was Bon Maman. I was clear on that, for years. My second favorite was Smuckers preserves (WITH the seeds! Removing the seeds from raspberry jam is a travesty, as far as I'm concerned! Don't want the seeds caught in your teeth or spackling your larynx? Choose a different fruit, buddy! The raspberry comes with RISK -- that's how Mother Nature made things!). I also like Stonewall Kitchens, but they don't deal in raspberries. SO -- to sum up --- I was all set in the raspberry spread department. But then one day I was out of raspberry jam, and because I'd already placed an Amazon Fresh order and didn't have enough groceries to start another one, I needed to pick a jam that could be shipped to me in a regular order -- not a grocery order. The brands that showed up for that were different that my usual brands, so there was the opportunity to be mildly adventurous, and I took it. I purchased this jar, D'arbo. I had no specific expectations, but wow -- this is delicious jam. Just perfect in every way. Great texture, perfect degree of sweetness and tartness, doesn't taste artificial, spreads smoothly on everything, doesn't get goopy or watery or clumpy as the jar's contents decrease...I have no complaints whatsoever. It's wonderful. I've made much more toast than I usually do, just to have an excuse to get out the raspberry jam. I want to try other D'arbo preserve flavors now!

Not what I expected
Flavor is not what I expected...not that much apricot taste. The texture is a little runny...again not what I expected. Other brands are better. Will not purchase again.

Good value for sour cherry spread. Yummy, too.
My husband I both love sour cherry jam. In fact, I make it myself - we have sour cherry trees - but we always run out before the next crop is ready. Sour cherries are not widely cultivated because they’re small, challenging to harvest, and spoil quickly. They taste a bit different than the Bing and Rainier cherry varieties that most people are familiar with. Since sour cherries aren’t available in stores, running out of homemade jam means that we either have to wait for our next crop or purchase jam elsewhere. Sour cherry jam can be hard to find and eye-popping expensive - $2 per ounce is not uncommon. D’arbo brand sour cherry spread has the yummy flavor I crave at half the price of some other brands, so I buy it. It’s not quite as thick as some of the other brands, but it’s not watery, either - just nicely spreadable. And it comes in a big 16 ounce jar. Yummy taste, good value. I’ll definitely buy more.
