Great work shoes for construction, warehouse jobs, etc
Great for working in a warehouse. Very protective. I can kick heavy stuff without hurting my foot if I curl my toes slightly. I've used my shoes to avoid pinching my fingers when setting down heavy objects, to get pallet jacks unstuck from pallets by holding the pallet in place with my foot, and to get old rusty latches on delivery vans open by kicking the lever. I know from experience that the steel toe can support over 1,000lbs, just don't tell my boss how I figured that out.... I'm not sure how protective they are when it comes to stepping on nails, but I'll let update my review if I find out! (Stepping on nails sticking up out of boards isn't exactly a rare occurrence in warehouse and construction environments) They're surprisingly water resistant. Stepping in puddles, walking through snow, and even pressure-washing vehicles doesn't get my feet wet. They're quite grippy, and the tread on the soles doesn't seem to wear down. While wearing these, I've only ever slipped on ice and soapy concrete, never on wet wood, concrete floor, metal, etc. They're certainly not comfort shoes, but they're comfortable enough for work. Better than broken toes! They're not light, but they don't feel particularly heavy. I'm still fairly agile while wearing them, they're not great for running, but I can run in them comfortably and without tripping. It's quite comfortable to rest one foot on top of the other while sitting, since the shoes don't bend too easily like sneakers do. They're very durable, aside from the memory foam insoles, which develop holes pretty quickly, although you really can't feel the holes. In my experience, they last about 8 months, which is decent, considering they're relatively inexpensive and stand up to a lot. My first pair had a bit of peeling rubber on the front and the holes in the insoles had gotten quite deep, so I replaced them, although they're still wearable as a backup option. I just bought replacements for my second pair, which are actually in pretty good shape other than the inside of the left shoe wearing down, causing the hard protective layer inside to rub on my heel and cause minor discomfort while walking. The sizing seems accurate. I have fairly wide feet, and wear size 13 in most brands, sometimes 14 (eg, Under Armour). The size 13-Wide fits perfectly, with just enough room for my toes to not be squished together like they are in most shoes. 9/10, would recommend these for anyone with the risk of injuring their feet at work.

Great value safety shoes
I have been having a hard time finding safety shoes that are wide enough to fit my feet. Decided to try these out and PERFECT! Finally and X-Wide that is actually X-WIDE. Very comfortable shoe, the steel toe does not bind my toes like I have experienced with other brands. They are solidly built, comfortable and fit right. I think the insoles will likely not hold up well, but I have customs that will be in these shoes as soon as they are fitted to them.

Very comfortable and lightweight, not slip resistant
Very comfortable, a lot more so than my Keens that I tried out. I work in a machine shop for 10-12 hours a day and just with the stock insoles, my feet don't hurt by the end of the day. I will be putting insoles in them soon since I don't think the memory foam ones they come with will last long. This is my second pair of Skechers, and they definitely deliver on comfort right out the box. I have a little bit of a wider front toe box, and they give me enough room where I don't feel cramped, but I also don't slip around. They run true to size for me compared to my tennis shoes. Breathable compared to my keens, kept my feet pretty cool throughout my day. Good support, definitely for mid high arches. Flexibility isn't great right out the gate but neither were my last pair of Skechers, they needed a little break in before they started to flex and give. Lightweight like composite. Only negative thing is if you work around coolant in machine shops, they are not slip resistant whatsoever, even though it doesn't say slip resistant, it said good traction control, I think that's more for dry conditions. I fear for my life when I have to step into my machine on the table that has coolant on it, feel like I'm on black ice lol. For the price, definitely worth it if you don't need something that's slip resistant.

DESIGNED TO WORK
I am really very pleased with this purchase, since this shoe despite having a metal cover on the front, is such a special shoe to work and so comfortable that it does not weigh much and the size runs normal.

Very Comfortable Steel Toe Shoes
These Skechers Cankton steel toe shoes are very comfortable and well made. The steel toe feels solid and safe, and the memory foam insole makes them easy to wear all day without foot pain. They have a roomy fit and don’t feel too heavy for a safety shoe. I also like that they look more like athletic shoes than bulky work boots. Great value for the price — I would definitely recommend them for everyday work use.
