This is a bathtub aid EVERY elderly person should have. I'm 71 and have a bad back and knees. I have to admit I was rather skeptical when I purchased this. It was a Prime item so I knew I would have no problem returning it if I was not satisfied so I took a chance. When my husband opened the box I said "hold on to that box because this might go right back". No it won't!!! The very first step up next to my tub told me this was a keeper and would be a permanent fixture in my bathroom. It's amazing how much difference stepping up just 4" makes before you step into your tub. It made the difference between feeling a little uneasy and insecure to feeling totally comfortable getting into my tub. I also purchased a "Medline Bathtub Bar, Locks to Side of Tub" which my husband fastened to the side of the tub next to the step so I could have something to hold onto for balance. The stool is 20" wide and 16" deep which gives you a very roomy platform to stand on for secure balance. It's not like stepping up on a stool at all. The way it's built underneath gives plenty of support. The description says it hold 418 lbs so THAT'S pretty hefty. I know I'm sold. After one step up and into my new tub I told my husband to throw away the box it came it. No returns here. This is a must have for every seniors bathroom. My plumber suggested this bath step as well as the bathtub bar while he was here installing my new tub. He's been doing bathrooms for the elderly for close to 30 years so I trusted him. I came on Amazon while he was here and he suggested the choices to consider. He made wonderful suggestions that will make taking a shower or bath a very safe and secure experience. I will note here that my plumber installed two support bars when he installed the tub for added security and peace of mind. This Bath Step just made the whole bathing experience so much more relaxing and safe.

This is high-quality made and very stable, perfect for the shower. Has a wide solid base that makes me feel very secure that I won't slip in the shower and can reach the showerhead. The company is awesome and great to deal with. They will help you with any issue right away. Highly recommend this.

I am using thie stool to facilitate getting into a high bed. It is the perfect height with a non-slip surface suited for this use.

This is just as pictured. Nice wide step, and brilliant white. This, along with one of those strong arms that attaches to the tub wall, are perfect together to help you step in and out of a tub very comfortably and securely. Looks nice too. I have mine sitting on top of a rug in front of the tub. I wouldn't trust it on the tile as the whole thing is plastic. but it's pretty strong and if you're under 300 pounds, it's going to work for your weight. I feel a slight give in the material when I step on it, but just the sensation of a little give. It's not anything serious, I feel secure standing on it and have. I do recommend putting it on top of a bath non-slip rug. While I try to dry off mostly while I'm still in the tub, there's always a little water dripping and the bath rug catches all that because it's larger than the step by about 6 inches around. If you have a small amount of floor space, this might just crowd you a little. You definitely need to measure the amount of space it's going to take up and to make sure it won't impede the walking-around space in the bath. It's easy to wipe down when necessary. I think they're a little pricey... but that's the going rate.

Perfect step for me. I use it to get in and out of the tub for my shower. Just the right height to get over the lip of the tub and back out again. Stays in place and very sturdy.
