Nicholson 21514 HANDLE,PH6,RED PLASTIC,W/THREADED INSERT

One of my PH6 handles came in cracked. The insert in this one is different from the other. It looks like the factory tried to press in the wrong one. I’ve used these handles for decades, great product and never had an issue. This is an extremely rare occurrence for any product from Nicholson. A replacement is on the way

I broke a file handle and needed a replacement. This Nicholson handle looks like it will do quite nicely in its place.

Fit like a glove on my 14" file. Good quality handle.

Just echoing what others have said: This is a hefty handle for BIG files with LARGE tangs. The hole is too big for the 8" Japanese files I just bought from Lee Valley.

A customer had our laser engraving business, Laser-Tronics in San Marcos, CA, make a branding tool for his leather working business. We did a deep relief laser engraving on a brass puck and assembled the tool using this Nicholson 21514 handle, PH6, red plastic with threaded insert. Our customer was thrilled with the item and the engraving results.

I read reviews and went to the company website to ensure fit. Unfortunately, the hole is too big for my 10-inch Nicholson flat file - maybe this fits a 12-inch. Guess I need size PH5. However, quality appears very good.

Ordered 4 of these one was cracked and the Co. replaced it right away... I like when companies stand behind their product. They are very nice handles..... I would definitely buy again

These are really good, and Nicholson customer service is 10-star! The handle screws directly onto the file tang via a hardened threaded steel insert molded into the handle. The insert is harder than the tang and actually cuts threads into it. No special extra sleeve, sabot, etc is required. There are no instructions included, so I had to call Nicholson Customer Service to find this out. I left a message and a US-based rep called me back in less than 2 hours - incredible these days. The handle is comfortable and will probably last as long as the file.
