Torpedo Bait Bucket

to improve mobility and reduce drag, i needed a more steamline bait bucket for kayak fishing. this product fits the bill and works great! it meets all my needs. its narrow design also helps for easy out-of-the-way onboard stowing when not in the water. and now for customer service... the product arrived damaged on a thursday. it was a simple crack in the molded plastic, but the crack was in a spot where two pieces connected and the door flap would not close correctly. on friday i emailed the company to let them know and ask how i needed to proceed with repair/replacement, etc. i got a response email on saturday morning requesting pics of the damaged product. because i was out-of-town that weekend, i had planned to take pics of damaged product and the box it came in when i returned home on monday. a new bait bucket arrived on tuesday morning. wow! great customer service! i cant say how much i appreciate this type of service when problems do arise. thank you!

Seems well made, but will test it this weekend.

This is the "improved" version of the Torpedo. We used the original version for 4 years but they cracked and the hinge failed. The new improved version is made of much sturdier plastic and has a better hinge. However, it also has a different latch, which turns loosely. So loosely, that it came unlatched as it bumped against the side of the kayak and all but one of my minnows go out.

Nice size, pulls through the water with little resistance. The trap door is convenient but the latch is pretty iffy. I added a loop of bungie material around the tube over the door as a safety. I would buy this again.

I went to CA for a fishing trip. Caught my own live bait on the way out of the harbor and fished all day. Live bait stayed alive and healthy all day. A kayak must have if using live bait.

Got this for my son for Xmas for his kayak first day out with it, put it on the dock for a couple hours went to go back out and it was trash. Tried to get ahold of the company twice to make it right, ghosted! Not a surprise that I wished I never wasted my money on this.

High quality product.

Great product and great customer service. Tbh this is the only bait bucket i can use for saltwater kayaking. If i use the other trolling buckets my sardines die in less than an hour. With the torpedo, I can keep 8 of them alive for my whole 4 hr kayaking trip. Smelt, i can keep 10 alive for 5-6 hrs. Mackerel are bigger so i can really only keep about 4 in there, but they stay alive 4-5 hrs too. Great stuff
