Easy to use & reassuring!! Nothing to lose!
So this morning I did my poo test!! My partner is finding this so hilarious and is very intrigued as to whether I will share 😂😂 !! Which I have no problem doing! Basically, our age in uk doesn't get tested til I think 65?? And so much talk about cancer and also undetected bowel cancer etc so urmed and arghed and eventually I bought one. Not obvs 100% accurate. And i know this isn't for cancer but mainly blood or abnormailty. Some reviews had false positives but I just thought 'why not?' Many reviews say brilliant, saves lives blahhhhh. So I'd rather have false positive and then you can get checked/ cleared with the gp but obvs you can also have reassurance! So I did this morning and woohoo. I'm negative!😅 I must say wasn't the most pleasant experience 🤦♀️ but I think I was actually being very sensible. It's just like a covid test! Easy to use and prompt delivery. May make this a regular purchase! 👏

Fast results
Bought as a quick way to get a result back and put my mind at rest while I waited on more detailed test results to come back from my GP. The test was easy to use and the negative result it gave matched those from my GP. At the time of taking the tests I was quite worried about the result and under some lights it was possible to see a very very faint positive line but I think that was down to looking so hard at the test.

Easy so use, good value for money
From my experience this test is pretty sensitive. I did 2 tests within a couple of days and both came up with a very faint positive line which I was surprised about as was only doing the test as a precaution as I am over 50. The problem with the test is it only measures existence of blood in the stool rather than level . I went to my GP who got me to do a FIT test that came back negative. The NHS FIT tests have a level of blood below which is considered normal which mine obviously was. However I ended up going for a costly colonoscopy to rule any problems out . Apparently colon cancer takes 10-15 years to develop so if you get the all clear on one of these or have any non cancerous polyps removed you are in good shape for the next 10-15 years

See a gp if you are worried and get a FIT test
Be careful with any fob test, they are around 50-80% accurate re possible colon cancer. Lots of things can give a false positive, red meat, certain veg, even certain supplements. Get a fit test instead, either from gp or private. These tests only increased my anxiety, every so often getting a positive, leading me to question my negative fit test. If you have worries and symptoms, go see a gp, dont rely on these.

More sensitive than NHS FIT
This test does NOT give false positives. The reason this test sometimes gives a positive result when the NHS test subsequently gives a negative one is because this test is 20 times more sensitive picking up blood in a stool sample as low as 6 micrograms/gram. In comparison the NHS FIT test only detects blood in a stool above 120 micrograms/gram. This NHS test is less sensitive to prevent the NHS from being overwhelmed. No test like this detects cancer, simply the presence of blood. You cannot ascertain a test has given a false positive by comparing its results with a less sensitive test. People who have done so in these reviews don't understand what they are talking about.
