The Moody Bible Commentary

This is my first commentary I like that it gas multiple writers and comes in one book. It's clear and easy to understand. Great for more in depth study

I have only had this commentary for one day, but I noticed that the understanding of the scriptures is far beyond any other commentary I own (I only use single volume commentaries.) For example the controversial scripture in Romans 7 (the good that I would I do not .... etc) Is usually interpreted as a Christian experience. This cannot be the case as it is describing a man who is being condemned by the law. Christians are not under condemnation. It was a joy for me to find that the authors of this commentary actually understood this portion of scripture. Well done the Moody Institute. How I would long to find a church near where I live that had such understanding.

Excellent commentary, easy to read and follow. Draws from multiple contributors and is both informative and authoritative. It's a good commentary to have as a first commentary.

This is an excellent one volume commentary. Having a commentary on the whole Bible in one volume is really helpful and the Moody Bible Commentary is very well done. I recommend it to anyone. Richard M Duffy (missionary)

This is an excellent one volume commentary. Hardback. Quality binding. Written by conservative scholars with a pre-millennial disposition. Deals with many difficult passages. Superb introductions to each book of the Bible. Recommended

As there are various contributors, you don't just get one point of view. I enjoy listening to Moody radio, so it's like having the regular speakers there with you.

A very good commentary , handy one volume like believers bible commentary

I think a must read. Every page is like a little sermon, it really helps to understand the bible better. A very good commentary, many times when I read the Bible I tend to overlook the small details in sentences which ad so much to the meaning of the scripture and therefore my understanding how to try to live according. Of course it's not the only bible commentary, there are many good ones out there. But certainly one you want to have...

Good Bible Commentary for Starters.

I've had this commentary for 5 years now and have used it as a tool the last two times I read through the Bible. I do have a handful of different theological beliefs then Moody but overall this is a Biblically sound book to use. My favorite part is how he takes the different beliefs and puts it in the commentary but says which belief he most aligns with. That way you are getting the different types of views. As with any commentary, you should take it with a grain of salt and test everything with the Bible but this is definitely a good commentary that I would recommend to people.

This is one of the best Bible commentary that I have ever ready. Filled with insightful information and explanation of the scripture in simple format so that the average person can understand it.

This is how my order arrived. Not happy. Book itself is great but packaging was not good.
