Many years ago I went into a health food store in a rural community in Southwest Missouri. While looking around, the owner came up to me to see if she could assist. I told her that I had an insatiable craving for chocolate and was under a lot of stress and wasn't sleeping well and she just said "magnesium". She guided me to this product and recommended that I try it. She said it had helped a lot of her customers and would help me to sleep better and reduce the chocolate cravings. I gave it a try and boy am I glad I did! At this point, I need to add that since childhood I had suffered from bi polar disorder and most of my family is on an anti depressant for the condition. I had tried medications but I could never find one that didn't make me feel like a zombie so I took nothing. Okay, so I went home and took the recommended dosage and within abut an hour, I felt it flood my body and initially I felt like it something was wrong. I felt like I had just drank 3 pots of coffee and was really wired so I called the place where I bought it. She commented that I must have REALLY been deficient in magnesium and recommended I start with a lower dose and work my way up so I did. I have been taking this product for over 10 years and occasionally have tried other magnesium supplements but they do not work for me like this one does. Very long story short, my bi-polar disorder is totally under control and I sleep like a baby. I still like chocolate (who doesn't?) but I no longer eat it all day every day. I take it every day and if I skip even one day, I can feel the bi polar creeping back in so I make sure I carry it with me everywhere just in case. Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate does not have the ingredients that acts as a laxative in typical magnesium. I take Magnesium on a daily basis and this has caused me such issues for so many years. FINALLY, I am experiencing daily relief with this type of Magnesium. So very happy.
