Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick Sauce Pan/ Saucepan with Straining and Lid, 2 Quart, Black

This is an awesome pot I spent hours looking for a great pot this has some of the BEST review and a cover. I was going to go for Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 1-Quart Open Saucepan with Pouring Spouts pot but that one comes without a lid and is only 1 quart. This was few bucks more and had lid and lid doubles as a strainer. I use for pasta, tea , eggs, and sauce or soup. Makes good ramen If your in college. The handle on the cover is very sturdy and more elevated so your hand is much further away from hot glass unlike with most pots. The handle is also great shape comfortable and makes straining light work. Spouts are excellent for pouring in cup or soup bowl. and when I make peas it strains well without me losing anything down the sink or having to use a strainer. if this is helpful please click the helpful link at the bottom thanks

I have the 3.5 quart size of this pot. I got it in 2006. I recently gave this new pot to my niece for a bridal shower gift. I love this pot so much. It is the #1 pot that I reach for when I open the cabinet door to cook something. I cook many, many things in it and am so glad that I own one. It's very convenient to use and I love the handles. I find that using the long handles on my other pots feels awkward now. Its so great to be able to lift the pot up and not have to employ potholders to do so!!! So, I recommend this pot all the way. It truly is my favorite pot in the kitchen. I've used it for cooking large portions of scrambled eggs. I've fried chicken wings in it. I've made spaghetti sauce in it and I even made a batch of hot pepper jelly in it!! Everything cooks so much better in this Circulon cookware. It's my brand and I'm always going to own it. Don't hesitate to buy one~ you'll fall in love with it. I did!!

I found this saucepan under induction pots and pans. To be sure I found the Meyer site in the UK. I asked if this pot was fit for induction cooking and the answer was: "The whole Circulon Contempo range is suitable for induction cooking". I live outside the US (in the Caribbean) and always use my son's POB in Miami. This is a service of our Postal Service. On arrival I was very disappointed, because the magnet I always use to test the pots' bottoms did not stick. And trying to cook water in it was in vain of course. Writing back to customs service in the UK I got the anser, that this line was induction fit in the UK, but I got the link to the US Meyer.com Co. I still have to write them, but I urge Amazon to make sure, that this product does not get promoted anymore under INDUCTION. Three stars, because of misleading info, the pot should get 5 stars for its design: right/left handed without looking for the spout. Nice glas lid, fitting well into the pot.

I was thrilled to find a good circulon piece for half price here on amazon. It truly does heat evenly and no sticking, also easy to clean. The size is convenient and the handles stay cool. The straining spout is handy, good function and also easy to clean. I am thinking I might pick up a second one for myself and another to give as a gift. If you can get this at the 50% discount, grab it while the deal lasts! My sister has used this brand for years, having paid full price for every piece and still feels she got her money's worth.

So a pot is a pot ,but this Circulon pot is a great pot. It is very nice looking soft handles and a glass lid. I have a little hot plate and I thought it will never heat water to the boiling point. Was I surprised this pot and heated quickly and evenly and the water was boiling faster than my microwave would. The handles remain cool and with the glass lid I can check the contents without taking the lid off. The only disappointment I had is that it would not work on my induction hotplate. When I read the description I seen stainless steel and I assumed it was the pot. But it was for the rivets and handle it referred to, so would not work on my induction hotplate. I think I am going to use this pot a lot.as it is a perfect size for me. It also cleaned up very easily even the lime that was left from boiling water.

The Circulon saucepan is just what I have been searching for. It's the perfect size, doesn't stick, and as a bonus can be used as a strainer. Have recommended this pan to my Mom and friends. Glad I could purchase just one pan as they sold in sets in the department stores. I also plan on adding more Circulon items to my cookware collection as they are a good value and a very durable addition to my cookware.

I was looking for a Circulon pot to match what I have, and this is the perfect size for things that always boil over in a 2Qt pot. This is great size for a small pot of chili or stew for 2-4, or even as a pot to boil a few potatoes in. I have larger pots but was looking for a smaller, perfect size, and this is it! I was so excited by the new pots I bought open stock, that I went ahead & bought a new full set of this brand. I like the clear lids due to the fact you can see when it starts to boil, rather than hear it as it boils over. The handles are great, and don't get as hot like another brand I used to have. Things do not stick to the bottom of this brand, if over cooking occurs. Easy to clean, which is always nice.

This looks like a great pan and would have been perfect for what I needed but, contrary to the product description, there is no "domed glass lid" for the 1 quart pan. The picture shows it without the lid, so I read the description carefully to be sure it came with one before ordering, but it just arrived without one (and not in a box: beware if you are ordering a gift!). This is one of the problems for the "ganged" descriptions that cover more than one item...I really wish they wouldn't do that, it causes a lot of frustration (and wasted resources!).
