Savinelli 6mm Balsa Filters - 100 Count

If you can be a fan of small, triangular sticks of balsa wood - I am! I prefer the balsa filters over charcoal because of the draw. And that's just personal preference.

Not as much a filter as it is a soaker of humidity in your chosen pipe. They are reusable until dark dark brown.

Was skeptical of filters for a while, tried to be more traditional. But I have to say after using these I am very happy with them. They do not effect the quality of the smoking experience and eliminated the moisture in the pipe that can cause gurgling. Very happy glad I started using them.

These are 6mm per my caliper measurement. My pipe stem ID is also 6.02mm, yet it doesn't fit, it's very tight and pressing it in it shaves off some balsa wood on all three points. It must be my pipe, I can't fault the measurements, so four stars.

These filters are outstanding and part of the reason why I continue to purchase Savenelli pipes.

Authentic Savinelli balsa filters at a good price. I like that they came in a box rather than the typical small, ziplock bags. I’ll buy again when needed.

I was always skeptical about pipe filters because some of them can block the airflow significantly. These work well with my Savinelli 626. And they definitely filter out a lot of the bad stuff while preserving flavor. I usually only go 2-3 bowls before replacing (personal preference), but your mileage may vary.

these balsa filters are the perfect width and length for a Grabow style pipe. their shape allows the air to flow around it easily while giving you that restriction you are looking for. the porous balsa wood soaks up the liquid and prevents gurgling or accidental sipping. you will have to change these out maybe twice a day if you are a frequent smoker. the more refined change it out after every bowl.
