Nice clean balanced sound and really nice build quality
The PreSonus Eris E7 XT delivers surprisingly strong performance, especially considering its price point. For a 7-inch studio monitor, it’s bigger and more powerful than expected, and it can get very loud while still keeping clarity and balance across the frequency spectrum. The sound is clean, detailed, and consistent—great for mixing, producing, or simply enjoying music with accuracy. The EBM waveguide does an excellent job of widening the sweet spot, making it easier to work without needing perfect positioning. Setup is quick and straightforward, and PreSonus includes a few useful software and plugin freebies, which add even more value to the purchase. Honestly, these are probably the best studio monitors under $200 per unit, especially if you’re looking for power, clarity, and reliability without overspending. Overall, an excellent choice for home studios and creators who want professional performance at a fair price.

Way good monitors
I ordered one of these thinking that I was getting a pair. I was initially rather disappointed when I opened the box to discover only one. Then I plugged it up and dialed it in, at which point I immediately ordered another. For the money, these are next level. If you want to really hear your mix, unbiased by your acoustics, these are hard to beat at this price point. You could spend over 800 USD on monitors that, for home studio use, will give you nothing more than these will. True bass representation and all the bits into the high frequencies are well articulated. Overall, excellent product. Highly recommend for a home studio.

Literally the best bang for your money.
OMG. I had Adam Audio A7x's and an Adam Audio Sub 10 MK2 before these; I still have one A7x. I compared the Presonus Eris with the A7x and I can't hear a difference. Maybe I'm just not experienced enough, but they both sound amazing. I sat my girlfriend down with her eyes closed and switched between the A7x and the E7 XT and she said E7 XT sounds better even though she though it was the A7x that was playing. Very interesting. The Eris Sub 10 is awesome too. A lot of punch and I love the foot switch to bypass the sub, aka turn the sub off only having the studio monitors playing. These studio monitors and the Sub 10 are the best bang for your buck. With 30% off each studio montior, the two monitors and the sub 10 cost the same as a single newer Adam Audio A7v, which blows my mind.

Great detail, really good low end
Excellent sound and frequency response. Really good low end. I use them in a 2.1 system for my TV and I couldn’t be happier with the results. For listening to music or streaming movies you just can’t get the detail and low end from smaller speakers. Got ‘em on sale for Prime Day and they are absolutely worth the price. They punch way above their weight class for what you get. Super stoked with how they sound.

Nice bass and wide "sweet spot"
I bought these and Kali's LP-6 monitors at the same time to try them both out and ended up keeping these. The E7 XTs were easier to use in my untreated office/studio (standard bedroom) due to a wider listening zone thanks to the waveguides (although the LP-6 also adjusted pretty well to the room too, but hadf a much narrower sweet spot). There's more control over EQ adjustments with the E7 XT than many monitors in this price range, which is great for tailoring acoustics to your space. The main reason I went with these is that the bass is much better on the E7 XTs, as it extends a little lower and is more assertive than the LP-6 (but still quite realistic). Overall, the imaging is solid: you can definitely tell where things are located in the mix and they reveal fine details well. I do have to mention that imaging is a little sharper/more clear on the LP-6, but theres less EQ control and the bass is noticeably weaker on the same tracks. If you're in it only for the imaging (not overall sound reproduction) and you have a separate subwoofer, the LP-6 might be for you. Since I'm not using a subwoofer (yet), I went with these, so I can mix low end more easily. I do plan on getting one of the PreSonus subwoofers in the next few months. I get the feeling after playing with these speakers that they would work really well with a sub, because they sound amazing when you engage the low bypass to 80hz. TLDR: +Great, assertive, and realistic bass for a 6.5 inch speaker +Good imaging and details +Easy to tailor to your space -A little bulky (check your measurements)

Better manufactured driver qualty
I purchased this Eris E7 XT after purchasing two nearly identical Eris E66, but with an extra bass driver. These are comparable to my old Behringer B2031Ps, but with smaller bass driver & amps at nearly the same price range. Made by Fender but based in Louisiana for hardware, Germany for software llke Behringer used to be but no longer are. Much better quality drivers & cabinetry but with class A/B amplifiers instead of Class D as is so common in powered speakers. Better depth & tonal quality but not as solid power wise as my old Behringers. Just added a month later: I ended up purchasing five of this series, the 7s, the 8s with one additional E266. I've read a ton of reviews & I like this series, how they look & especially how they sound in a very complicated surround setup. There is no question, the E8s sound the best of the bunch but the E266s don't sacrifice much using smaller woofers. My 20 year old Truth Behringers play more solid with much fuller range using the 260 watt power pack, these sound finer, more finished but the E7s sound far less powered/bass diminshment compared to my 20 year old & worn original wunders. The fivesome creates an astonishing quality sound field, especially anywhere near their price range using an ancient Pioneer Elite HTR implemented with pre-outs.

I was originally looking for the 8's. because the professional reviewers held them in high regard. Nobody had them in stock so I gave the 7's a shot and was not disappointed. I used them on a project in conjunction with A pair of NS10M's and they were a perfect compliment that enabled us to hear the low end accurately. The highs and mids are very accurate as well. My friend has been a studio owner and producer/engineer for 40 years and he was so impressed that he ordered a pair to compliment his NS10Ms. Great speakers.
