Old Dutch Rectangular Décor Chaffind Chaffing Dish, copper

I ordered few other chafing dishes. This is a little more pricy but worth the money. Quality, look, and material is definitely way better than the other ones.

I recently purchased the Old Dutch Rectangular Décor Chaffind Chaffing Dish and I am beyond pleased with my purchase! The dish is made of high quality copper, so it looks beautiful and is sure to last for years to come. It has a convenient lid that fits securely to keep the food warm and a fuel holder below the dish to keep the fuel contained. I love the decorative handles and the intricate design of the dish! Not only is it attractive but it also performs exceptionally well. I have used it several times and each time the food has stayed warm and delicious. This is a great addition to any kitchen and I highly recommend it!

I had purchased this same chafing dish a while back as a gift for my daughter, a new bride who entertains a lot. She uses it all the time.When I was invited to my niece's wedding, this gift was a no-brainer!I have been married since 1979 and have never owned a chafing dish, a big regret. Sure wish Amazon had been around during the decades I was entertaining while I used those awful throw-away aluminum pans with the cheap support frames.Thanks, Old Dutch, for coming up with something truly useful, stylish and priced well.

I love this dish. It arrived promptly and well packaged, ensuring no damage to the item. It is just what I was looking for and absolutely beautiful. Very good quality, with heavy wrought iron as well as quality copper. There is zero wobble in the stand, which seems to be hard to avoid with a lot of stands. I would highly recommend this product, beautiful and designed so well for the use for which it was intended. Impressive for entertaining.

I have owned two of these dishes for about a year now and unfortunately have to say that I have not been very satisfied. I do not believe these are real copper and are instead some kind of aluminum covered with a copper looking coating. I base these assumptions on the following experience.The first time we used them, we placed the water in the base of the double boiler and heated it with a sterno underneath as instructed. Everything went well for the dinner; guests seemed quite impressed with the look of the dish. However when all was done we went to clean everything and the double boiler had turned white on both units. We then tried to buff it out on one of the dishes and slowly the copper just chipped away leaving a dark aluminum looking coating underneath. When I contacted the company about these not being copper I got some vague answer with the offer to "electrolyze" then again so that they get they original look again. We were told that under no circumstance should we use Brasso as these dishes have a protective coating on them. We thought carefully about sending them back but decided to keep them as the inside double boiler is not visible to guest when being used with food in it.6 months later we went to use the dishes again only to find the top cover on both units all crackled and pitted. Tried cleaning them with soap but to no avail, it would appear that whatever coating they use just cracks away over time.We are very disappointed with these. We have two of the smaller chafing dishes and the large oval one and find ourselves in a position where they are no longer presentable for guest. If these had been real copper a quick coat of Brasso would have brought them back but instead all you do is remove the copper looking paint to reveal an ugly dark metal underneath.I wish the company had been more forthcoming with the fact that this is "fake" copper so that we could have made a more informed decision about the purchase. I suspect their key word "Decor copper" is their way of telling us this is not real. I gave it two stars instead of one as we did get at least one dinner out of them but feel that they should have lasted more than 1 year.

I ordered two of these. One is perfect, but the lid on the other was pressed inside out, meaning the material that should be on the outside is on the inside and vice versa. After much debate, I decided to keep it because unless you spent the time to study it, you probably would not realize it was manufactured incorrectly. But...the burner holder will not open to put the sterno in. We have pried, primed, oiled, everything to get it open to no avail which means the whole think is completely useless if I can keep the food warm.

Nice finish- looks expensive. Bought it for Thanksgiving- will definitely be a nice addition
