These things are pretty expensive but I looked all over and that's just what they cost. Fit well tho.

This product but more importantly the customer service of gizmo engineering is of the caliber not often seen on Amazon. When my cap arrived it did not quite fit correctly, because it turns out the pipe I was trying to fit was not a standard size. So they offered to “print” a sleeve specifically designed to fit my pipe which I could attach their cap to. The gave me instructions on what photos and which measurements to send so they could create a part for me. They of course charged a reasonable price to print the custom part, but guaranteed it would fit my pipe or they would reprint it free of additional charge as many times as it took to make the cap fit. They mailed the printed part to me with lightning speed end it now fits perfectly. I cannot recommend them enough. Probably the best experience I’ve ever had from an Amazon vendor. These vent caps ended up being the perfect solution to resolve an air-lock / venting issue in a bio-retention basin we installed on an Army base in Virginia. Just after we finished the basin, there was an extreme rain event where 3-4 inches fell over only a few hours of time. This filled the basin so quickly that the water level rose above the permeable media that flows to the underdrain, and the system basically became vapor / air locked and would not drain. Water sat stagnant for more than a week and drainage was only a trickle at the outfall. Once we figured out the issue, solutions were looked at. Installing a dedicated air vent at this point would have been an expensive endeavor. So in researching solutions I found these vent caps which I used to replace the standard caps that were on the three clean out risers. These work perfectly in this application, and I'm happy I found this product! Additionally, it was clear that the vent caps I purchased are very well designed and there is no question they are going to be durable as they are very well made.

Vent cap is sturdy and well built. Internal screen keeps bugs out of plumbing. Nice product - I'd buy it again.

Had a suspicion the rotten egg smell in my house was due to septic tank not being vented properly. Had some wax seals replaced and from what I could tell roof vents were ok. Slab foundation so I figured maybe since everything is under the concrete the gas has no where to go. Took off the plug cap to my tank with a pipe wrench and screwed this baby on and all the smell has gone away. Low profile so it’s not as unsightly as a big trap sticking out.

Searched locally for this kind of attachment. Wanted to use it in a small water tank for emergency use. Explained people what I was looking for and sometimes got strange looks, like "what is this man talking about". Finally found this, and it works the way it should. Makes my project look like something well thought out, instead of a hack. Thank You Gizmo Engineering for a well engineered, simple vent cap.
