Solid Product
Shell fits a little looser then I expected, but it’s still a good gaffe.

I love this!
I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this purchase. The finish was dull compared to my real coins, so I burnished the surface with a metal spoon. At first it looks like scratches, but eventually, it just looks like a circulated coin. The fit is incredible. It makes no noise, but still slides off the coin perfectly with no effort. I did add a disc of thin packing tape to the inside flat edge of the shell. This eliminates the tinny hollow sound if you clack it with another coin. I plan to buy at least two more. I know some people say it doesn’t look like a real half dollar, but that’s probably due to the year of coins they are using. I found a few real half dollars that are an exact match to this sculpture.

How about an Eisenhower dollar shell that works as well.
The shell I have is short. So the milled edge does not go all the way down the side of the real half dollar. I'm half blind and I can see it's a shell. Your shell does not have these problems. It's light weight shiny on one side copper shell looking on the other. I look through my collection of uncirculated half dollars and found four that were a perfect fit. The shell and coin can easily be tossed from hand to hand without talking. Kennedys likeness is not perfect but it is believeable A word of warning: I dropped it empty on the floor and it put a flat spot on the edge of it that made the shell not let go of the half. Requiring raser blade to separate. Honestly that didn't bother me because it's a way to join the shell and coin so you can pass it out for inspection after the trick.

I should buy more
This shell fits completely over another real half dollar all the way to the bottom perfectly. I have expanded shells that I paid over 30 dollars for and this one beats them all. I am unsure if this is made from a real coin, but it looks great.

Well made and a great value
I'm not sure what I expected for the price, but whatever my expectations it exceeded them. Well made and a great value.

Doesn’t really pass for a fifty cent piece
The casual spectator is going to realize this is not a real 50 cent piece right off the back. The face on the coin is too small and distorted.

not as advertised
They say it completely covers a half dollar on the inside. False. From a horizontal or side view, you can see about 28-30 percent of the coin extending from the shell with my coin. But I will keep it. Why? Because for the price, it is a good quality shell (not very good, and not great). You just have to keep the coin and shell at about 30 degrees or more away from a complete side view. But at least the top of the shell looks very good. So for the price, for a backup shell, it is a good buy. But don't expect a miracle. I also realize that the quality and depth of these might vary from one order to another one.
