Perfect Gift for Music Lovers
I bought The Strokes vinyl album as a gift, and it was a hit! The quality of the pressing is excellent, with clear sound that brings their music to life. The album art looks great on vinyl, making it a nice collectible for any fan. It’s the perfect gift for someone who loves classic alternative rock or is building their vinyl collection. Highly recommend for the music enthusiast in your life!

The awesomest
I want new friends, but they don't want me. It's the story of my life, tucked away deep into my youth, but I remember it and I feel it. How do they recall these youthful phenomena so well? Maybe because they aren't so youthful after all... just human phenomena, made amusing by age and wisdom. Truly, everything's weird all the time, especially now, and The Strokes manage to be droll and playful and melodic and profound and make me feel better about life whenever I give this album a listen--when I'm driving to work, or making dinner, or whatever mundane thing I'm doing as I weather adulthood, which sort of always feels abnormal (but especially during a pandemic). This is the perfectly executed (and titled) album, and it's extra rad because they put Basquiat on the cover. Could not love this more, and I should add that Julian's oddball Instagram antics sort of enhance it all for me.

CD case came cracked
I wish it clarified in the description that this was going to be a hard case. My comedown machine album was cardboard so based on the review pics for the new abnormal, I thought this would be cardboard as well. I usually don’t order hard shell cd’s from Amazon cuz they ALWAYS come cracked 🤦♂️ Great music album, horrible quality control….

Where to start ?. When you make the most brilliant and 'Perfect' debut album, as these guys did, surely the only way is down ?. I've liked all the Strokes albums since 'Is this it', they've all been at least good, but obviously always in the shadow of their timeless debut. The New Abnormal is the sound of a rejuvenated band doing what they want and continuing to head into new directions with their sound. Julian Casablancas, really pushes himself into new territory here with some outstanding vocals, flipping from his trademark New York style drawl to a falsettos and back. The epic synth sounds that sound like they're belong on a motion picture soundtrack. Everything just sounds incredible on this album and grabs your attention immediately. You can dance, tap your feet and wallow here. There's a song for every mood across these 9 songs taking you a rollercoaster of styles. The slower tracks that didn't grab me so much at first are now actually my favourite songs on the album. The album closers - 'Not the same anymore' and 'Ode to the mets' are powerful, haunting and epic slowburn tracks that linger with you long after. I'm floored by this album, and just how any band after 20 years can still be this good and still evolving !. This is my favourite album by the Strokes, yes , even above 'Is this it'. Stunning
