Great product
Very easy install. Took me longer to reassemble the trim pieces than it did to install the Start-X. 2010 Silverado. I don't even have to hit lock three times. It works with the remote start button on my key fobs. This is the second Start-X remote starter I've bought. First was for my Infiniti Q50 a couple years ago. That has worked flawlessly.

Super simple
This is the 5th remote start kit I've installed over the years and I have to admit it's probably my favorite. I have installed a kit on a few cars a motorcycle, and a semi. And this kit was easier than any of them. It took me longer to remove and reinstall the trim than it took to actually install and program the kit. I did not install the under hood switch, but you really should for the added safety (I'll take my chances). The hardest part is reinstalling the clam shell around the steering column with the added wiring. It is possible, just a bit tight. Programming the module is pretty simple. I had to run thru it twice for some reason before it worked. But I may have done it wrong the first time. I have a 2013 silverado and the only tool I needed was a 7mm socket to remove the OBDII port and a small screwdriver and 10mm socket to remove the knee bolster (not required. But I removed it to run the wiring easier). I did it in the dark with my kid holding the flashlight and I didn't even get mad once 🤣🤣 (IYKYK), to give you an idea of how simple it is... good kit for a simple remote start.

Overall very great, but has one very annoying feature
Awesome Kit, incredibly easy to install. It took me about 10 minutes to remote the steering wheel column plastic, another 10 to install the wiring harness, and probably an hour to put the plastic back together. While the wiring is great, it fills up a lot of the space in the column and makes it very hard to put everything back together CORRECTLY. As far as how it works, it’s great. 3 clicks on Lock to start it, and it idles for 15 minutes before shutting off. My biggest complaint, and reason I knocked off a Star, is a pretty dumb one. When you get in the vehicle in EVERY OTHER CAR with a button start or a key, you have to press the brake first, and THAN turn the key or press the on-off button….well, if you start your vehicle with this remote kit, get in, and press the brake….it shuts off. It takes forever to get used to when all your other vehicles require the brake to be pressed first, and I think it’s an incredibly stupid design here. It very well could be unavoidable, I really have no idea. But if it was simply a design decision, I really want to meet the guy who made the call here and have a chat with him. But aside from the dumb “pressing the brake shuts the vehicle off” thing I am INCREDIBLY happy with this remote start kit

Very easy to install, works great and will make my mornings a lot easier during the colder weather. I really like how it uses the original key fob without needing to reprogram anything. Would recommend to anyone looking for this option.

I installed this in less than 10 minutes, it was so simple. There are other reviews complaining about having trouble getting the plastic trim back on the column but I tucked the wires in nicely and had no issues. It programmed itself quickly and was working right away. The kit comes with a couple loose wires and the instructions state "for professional installation" but with no diagrams stating what they could be for. I emailed [email protected] regarding parking lights when running and they emailed me back 10 minutes later, on a Monday morning! They included pictures specific to my vehicle showing exactly where to tap in to get the lights working. Very happy so far.

Product was easy to install and worked great for 3 weeks but no the vehicle won't start with the key! Can start with the remote start but as soon as the key is in the ignition and you step on the brake the anti theft light flashes. Not ideal.

After looking at a few different starters at our local big box store (which had consistently bad reviews -mostly about syncing and professional installation req'd) the fellow who does installations at said store recommended this to me as he has one himself. The kit comes with everything. The youtube link makes it a piece of cake, no questions asked. With my reluctant Dad (who is mechanically inclined but had a less-than-stellar experience installing a starter a couple of decades ago) supervising we had it installed in arnd a half hr - the hardest part was removing and replacing the casing around my steering column.
