Yes, it works with Keyboards
I tend not to care about writing reviews for cables, because if they work, then great, that's really all there is to say. However, I saw some guy asking about using it with a keyboard, so I'll specifically say: Yes, it works with keyboards. Anything with a USB Host port is going to work with it. The cable doesn't have some magical sensor that says "oh this isn't a printer, I'M ONLY FOR PRINTERS. GET OUT OF HERE." For those confused picturing a computer keyboard, I'm talking about Piano Keyboards. I have a Yamaha P105. It has a USB Host inbound port and outbound port. I haven't bothered with the inbound, but I use this cable in the outbound to connect to my Chromebook for piano "games" like Synthesia. The cable is standard cable material. Doesn't feel like it'd break or stop working any time soon, but I'll update if it does for some reason, though I don't expect my use case to be very intense on this cable (ie I expect to leave it plugged in almost indefinitely and not move it around much).

VERY USEFUL
AND NOT JUST FOR PRINTERS. SOME, LIKE MY NEW B&W BROTHER LASER PRINTER, SAYS TO NOT USE SUCH A CABLE LONGER THAN 6 FEET. I ALSO HAVE SEVERAL SABRENT CANISTER TYPE 4-BAY SSD PERIPHERAL (USING THIS EXACT SAME CABLE). SO THIS IS ONE EXAMPLE THAT SHOWS THE NEED TO HAVE SEVERAL "PRINTER" USB-2.0 CABLES.
