Wow...
Simply put, these are incredible. Even just out of the box and hooking them up with no tinkering, I could immediately tell they were good. Once I got them more precisely placed and tuned for the room I have them in, that's when I realized how crazy good they really are. These are highway robbery for the price they're at. I have them connected to an OSD Nero amplifier with a Pioneer Elite receiver acting as a preamp, and they are getting around 140 watts a piece. I will probably bi-amp them to feed them even more juice, but even with the 140 watts they're currently getting, the sound is out of this world. Imaging is spot on, and vocals are the best of any speaker I own, and the best I've heard from any speaker in general. Everything sounds good on these. I've auditioned symphonic, rock, rap, industrial, cinematic orchestral, you name it. It all sounds beautifully clear with pleasant & detailed highs, excellent midrange, and commanding bass. One professional reviewer at soundstagenetwork.com stated that the sound quality of these approaches some $5,000 speakers he's reviewed, and after hearing them myself, it's not at all hard to believe that. As far as build quality, these are built like fortresses. They are heavy and inert. If you knock on the cabinet with your knuckles, it's like knocking on a concrete slab. The only negative I have for these isn't related to the performance of the speakers themselves, but rather there was some minor damage on the bottom corner of one of them (see pic). While somewhat disappointing, it is minor enough that I can probably repair it with some wood glue and a paint pen. The TLDR of these is, they are worth every penny of the price you see them at here. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the sound of them, and I may pick up a second pair for another room because they're seriously that good. Edit: I bi-amped them today, and each speaker is now receiving about 300 watts each which maxes them out. It has taken everything that's already good about them and dialed it to 11. Absolutely incredible sound. Just get a pair of these and feed them some juice. You won't regret it.

What can I say that hasn't been said before, these are fantastic speakers!
These are an unbelievable value and sound fantastic. They arrived without any damages and are amazingly well built. Klipsch was stupid for not continuing the Energy line of speakers. The RC series was likely the pinnacle of Energy's design and build efforts and offered the biggest bang for the buck. Even by today's standards these speakers outperform anything Klipsch has to offer currently.

Great Sound, Great Price: These speakers are amazing!
The RC Series produced excellent speakers especially for the price. These speakers have a great quality construction with solid materials. The sound is quite warm and quite to my liking. Although they are an older discontinued model, I could not say that speakers evolve to the extent that these are "outdated". They are fantastic and provide great range and punch to keep my home theater and home stereo working in fine shape for years to come.

Nice Sound Need to Break In.
I'm somewhat of a rookie as it relates to listening to more mid-range speakers. I started my system in 1997 with Cerwin Vega 10" VS-100 speakers and at the time thought they had too much bass. Then I grew to love them. I bought these Energy Speakers after I listened to them at a nationwide discount electronics store. I immediately believed they sounded better than the Polk TSX 440 series I was contemplating. I was right. These sound much better but I do feel that they lack a certain mid-bass to mid-range clarity and crispness. The highs from the tweeter are not quite as crisp as I would like to hear either. I am running a rather inexpensive receiver however and hope to gain more clarity when I upgrade. I have only Listened to these about 40 hrs so I still need 60 hours to get to the 100-hr break in time frame that Energy recommends. I hope they open up more. However, for the price that I purchased these for, I believe these are excellent speakers.
