Dog likes it
Dog loves this stuff. She only has two teeth, but she can eat this kibble. We use it to supplement a meat diet.

My dogs fav food
My dogs absolutely love this food! The ingredients are high-quality, and I feel good knowing I’m feeding them something with real beef and sweet potatoes instead of fillers. Their coats are shinier, and I’ve noticed they have more energy since switching. No tummy issues, and even my picky eater looks forward to mealtime now. The large 22 lb bag lasts us a good while, and it’s worth the price for the quality. Definitely recommend!

Vet recommended
This is the only dog food my vet recommends for my Pitt mix. The cost is high but it's even higher to buy from the vets office. My dog has been using for a year and loves the taste and is healthy. So there you go.

Like Magic
switched my dog to a new dry food and it was like flipping a health switch. You can read the label without needing a degree in chemistry. My dog, who usually sniffs and walks away from kibble like it personally offended him, went all-in from the first bowl. We’re talking full-tail-wag enthusiasm. His poop finally got its act together. No more mystery messes or late-night belly grumbles. Everything is now on schedule, clean, and predictable. It’s honestly like he’s living his best gut-healthy life. His coat even looks a little shinier, and he’s way more playful. If anyone’s struggling with a picky eater or a dog with digestive drama, this food is worth trying. I didn’t expect miracles, but here we are, celebrating bowel regularity like it’s a national holiday.

Worth the Price
This is the only food we have found that does not make my dog itch and scratch herself all day. Her fur is fluffier and she has more energy. Grain free is the way to GO! Also, I read chicken is making the dogs sick. So this grain free beef formula for $25 a bag-worth every penny yall!!!

Greed based pricing in my opinion - Therefore only a 4.
Around ten years ago I switched the brand and type of dog food I was using from a legacy brand's supreme product, to Merrick. That legacy brand got 2 of my now deceased dogs to nearly 18 years old. However, that brand's food began to smell like rotten meat and was offensive to my current dogs and my family. It truly reeked. Merrick was a super brand at the time, so I switched to Merrick. In the ten years since, all 5 of my dogs absolutely love Merrick's dry dog foods (NOT SO with their canned dog foods with the nasty smells and little spots of some kind of colonies). I have never had any problems getting my dogs to eat dry Merrick food and their stools have always been soft enough for the dogs and firm enough to be easily picked up. I always use warm water in the dry food for easier swallowing, digestion, and to keep my dogs hydrated. I use allot of water. My current dogs are all a healthy weight, active, swim, and can hike good distances. They are 12 to 14 years old. However, 4 out of my 5 current dogs (important note -12 to 14 years old) have developed skin tags (or cysts?) and 2 of them have small lumps under the skin. 1 dog had a pair of fatty cysts removed from her belly. My recently deceased 15 year old was quite the lumpy bumpy dog. He also had severe neuropathy and epilepsy which was unrelated to diet. This is NOT to say that Merrick foods caused all that. Allot of that is old age... Pretty much the only way I could have done better feeding my dogs, would have been to sell my house and live in a van so I could buy expensive freshly butchered meats and guts for my dogs everyday for 20 years. Not practicable. Having said all that scary stuff, most people only get their dogs to live for around ten to twelve years old (according to the vets I have used). One vet was shocked that my 11 year old could still jump into the bed of my full sized truck. He said most dogs at 11 were either sick and obese, or being put down. So I am WAY ahead of the curve by selecting Merrick DRY foods. Is Merrick perfect? No. But it's in my budget. Bottom line, buy the best dog food you can afford. The best does not always mean the most expensive. The super cheap junk dog foods out there are like feeding your dogs the equivalent of human junk every meal of their lives. Now, let's talk Merrick's cost. In that, I am ANGRY! Over the years, the size of the bags decreased as the price remained relatively stable. And then the prices exploded in recent years - twice. In 2017, a 25 pound bag cost around $60, about $2.40 a pound. In 2023, a 22 pound bag costs about $75, about $3.40 a pound. That is a massive increase in just over 5 years! In my opinion, all the excuses and alleged reasons for the wide spread, recent price explosions, are all bull. It's all straight up greed. The dog food companies are included in that opinion. Many people will no longer be able feed their treasured animals which will deprive them of longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives. Nuff said, drop the price!

Worth Every Penny and Taste Great!
My Dog is a very picky eater and as you can see from the video in my review that she could not wait to get into the bag. The pieces of kibble are an easy size for her to chew up and better for her digestion. Her coat is shinier since we've been using this food and giving her a nice thick coat for winter. The main reason why I choose this food was because of the high quality ingredients and for the great nutrition reviews. My dog loves the taste and smell of her food and I'm very happy that she's so excited to eat at meal time now.

Great for Huskies
I have multiple Huskies(5) and I have been feeding Merrick for 10 years. Has a great protein to fat ratio for the breed. Will never stop feeding this food. 2 Huskies have sensitive stomachs but I can switch between proteins and they handle it better then sniffing my burrito. Huskies can also get very bored when they eat the sam food over and over again. Totally worth the price.

Seems like great food. My dog loves it and seems to be better than supermarket brands in that movements are much smaller suggesting much kess 'filler' and more is actually being digested

Dog wouldn't eat it.

Both dogs got incredibly sick; vomiting and diarrhea. Quickly cleared up when changing back to our previous brand.
