Don't know the exact weight but it is very light.

Can it be dis assembled to pack in a suitcase?

The only pieces that are removable are the four leg posts. This will shorten it a few inches. It is well made and depending on the suitcase it should fit.

Is the Hemi good for a person with one leg to learn to walk with their new prosthesis?

It gives extra support, so it MAY help with artificial legs, but I don't know anyone who has ever used a prosthesis.

How wide is the base with the walker opened? I got my mom one and it's so wide at the base she can't walk past things. Thanks

The width is about 12 inches. My sister has to have a clear path to use hers. We had to rearrange some furniture and remove some rugs but this is the best equipment for her to use. VERY glad she has it to use .
