Happy with the performance so far. A couple things the ad doesn't list. These are 54 notch ABS tone rings. Officially these do not support the 242 select trac transfer case models however they fit on my early 95 Grand Cherokee with no issues. Your milage may very. My jeep is a stock Dana 30 orvis edition with the 4.0 and 242. No issues with ABS

It's difficult to do a review of these things until after several years, but so far so good. I've had my '99 Sierra 2500 4WD since 2002, and this is the third pair of axles I've installed. Once the boots dry out and crack it's all downhill, maybe there is some way to lube the boots and keep them pliable? These felt as heavy as the set I removed, so hopefully I'll get 70 or 80,000 miles out of them.

Bands holding grease in knuckles came loose from the factory causing premature failure of no more than 30 miles of use. Also causing catastrophic failure behind wheel as when it failed it sent the shaft section attached to the wheel to smash coolant likes and brake lines causing other parts of vehicle not associated with drive axles to leak fluids. I was driving on the highway at 65mph when I saw dark smoke and smelted grease and rubber burning under the hood. It was a horrible experience. Return was successful but axels are not good quality. Rubber boots are very thin compared to OEM. They might say Detroit Axel but it’s gotta be Detroit China they are from. If I could leave zero stars, that would be my option. Would have pics but was too p…sed off that I was stranded on the side of the highway.

The axles are fine and seem to be well made. But, the passenger side axle that goes into the CAD system had such rough finishing on the internal splines that it could not go into the collar gear in the CAD housing. I had to use a wire wheel and polish the splines for over an hour before it could slide in. Everything else fit fine. I would say they are great for the money.

Purchased these axels for a 2001 dodge ram 1500 we where working on. It had bad u joints so to save time and money we decided the best route was to get the whole assembly. Install went great everything fit great nice and snug didn't have to press in and out u joints just slid it in. The install went so smoothly I forgot to take pictures. Great value, 3 months of use so gar on a farm and customer is happy with the quality, durability and the functionality of it locking in the 4wd. Great product by Detroit Axel.

The axles look good, hope they last because the add says they have a 10 year warranty but they won't honor it if you live in Canada.

Easy installation but you have to let go lower control arm which makes it easier
