Two Years Later - Excellent Keyboard
I've had this keyboard for over two years now. I have the Gateron Blue Switches. I use it at my work desk/ productivity - I do not game on it. I figured this would be a good time to review. This keyboard has been excellent for quality and reliability. The blue switches are satisfyingly clicky and allow me to type fast and accurately. I can imagine for gaming this might not be the best board because there is some take-up on the keys when you first press them, it doesn't immediately trigger the switch. However, this is ideal for typing because it decreases typing errors versus a linear switch. I love the ambient RBG and enjoy the thin font style of the Keychron keycaps. Some folks complain about the quality of the ABS keycaps, but two years later and they have held up great. I have typed on it for five days a week for the past two and a half years and the only key that has some shine to it is the spacebar where my thumb hits. I sort of like the smooth feel of them anyway versus the double shot pbt caps that usually have a little bit of texture. I use the keyboard wired, but the battery did hold up very well without the lights on in Bluetooth mode. There isn't any noticable latency. The main reason I decided to just keep it wired all of the time is because in Bluetooth mode, the only critique is that the auto-off feature engages after only 10 minutes - it is a little too short. And then you need to press the keys twice and wait a second for it to kick back on. A minor thing, but with my fast paced job I often have to stop working for 10 minutes to shift to something else, and it was a slight annoyance getting back to typing. The other option is to simply disable the auto off feature, but at the expense of battery life. Otherwise, quality is great, all the switches still work perfectly, key caps held up well, typing experience is great. For gaming, I would probably not recommend. It will get you by as a multi-use keyboard, but these switches wont be the fastest. This is a great full sized productivity keyboard, I'd highly recommend especially when it goes on sale for around $70. Hard to beat the features and quality you get for that price.

READ ALL THE DETAILS!
From a beginner's POV: I honestly loved this keyboard, but found out only after I purchased it wasn't hot-swappable. That's my fault for not double-checking this listing. Also, the RGB isn't programmable (there isn't some external app/program that you can use to fine-tune the RGB as you would a motherboard) but has enough different effects with adjustable brightness and variations on each pattern that I basically got what I wanted! And trust me, some of the effects are super cool. Regarding the actual keyboard, as a complete newbie to the the hobby of keyboard modding, I loved the punchiness of the keys and the quality of the keycaps... so much so, that the only reason why I've returned this model is to spend the little bit extra to get the hotswappable version with the aluminum case. It's ~$20 more, but it's worth it as I plan on this being model being my entry "vehicle" into the hobby of keyboard modding! IMO they're borth pretty good compromises/value between getting a cheap one that you'll regret down the line and overspending money on something that I might not even necessarily want.

Fantastic keyboard
Gateron Yellow switches feel great, and I'm saying that coming off a Deck 82 Cherry MX Black keyboard; I actually prefer the Gateron switches feel; can't overstate what a dream it is to type on this thing, this is literally my first Amazon product review, was looking for an excuse to type something! Pairing is fast and easy, and I can hold 2 profiles for my Mac with Bootcamp and without having to pair every time I change what OS I'm using. Lights are bright and look great, and theres 15 distinct patterns to use that are really well sequenced Only cons I would list are keyboard height; you're gonna wanna invest in a keyboard rest as this board sits high and will likely give you bad wrist issues without proper support. Other than that, easily the best keyboard I've owned, and I've been threw a few really pleased

Love this keyboard
Love this keyboard. I have 2 of them now. One for work and one for home. Its not to load of click clack which is nice. Feels great to type on. Don't care much about RGB so I like that its not to flashy when the lights change. Have had one for over a year, have had zero issues with it. Use on windows and Mac.

For $100, its hard to fine one much better than this
I am a big fan of the Gateron brown switches, so Im very satisfied with the feel and sound of this keyboard. The one thing I probably will never get used to is the shorted 0 on the numpad. Ive had a 96% layout for awhile now and I still miss-hit it. This keyboard has no lag via bluetooth or wired. I havent experienced any. I love the ability to hot swap key caps and switches easily. The lighting effects are fun and beautiful and shine through all the primary and secondary characters. I loved this keyboard so much at home, I bought the k10 full size variant to replace my keyboard at work. My biggest and only criticism is how high the overall keyboard is. You definitely want to buy a wrist rest if youre going to be buying a Keychron keyboard. For people who dont want to use a wrist rest, maybe go with something with a slimmer/lower profile.

This is a great keyboard to type on, but you might want to invest in a palm rest for greater comfort. The brown switches are nice and quiet but feel great to type on. The RGB backlighting is an added bonus. The size makes this easy to take to and from work.
