Moulinex Blender + Grater

I needed something to grind nuts with and after reading 100s of posts about power etc I was worried about whether this would manage. But I have been pleasantly surprised. Not only does it work incredibly well, its easy to clean and looks good! Both the blender and mini grinder works for grinding nuts and the mini grater is great for small amounts such as carrot for a salad or coleslaw. I am very impressed with the product

I had a Moulinex liquidiser/grinder for over 30 years and decided to replace it when the liquidiser goblet fell apart. The old model had a smooth design (see second photo) but the new one is all angles and nooks and crannies. It does the job of grinding and liquidising. BUT (1) the switch is too easily moved so it invariably goes to "on" when you lift it out of the cupboard and gives you a surprise when you plug it in. (2)The grinder has a surround with narrow channels that are difficult to clean. (3)The lid of the grinder needs careful alignment to put on whereas the older model had a tapered design that made it easy. Such a shame that they felt they had to "improve" the design when it is less practical than the original.

Having had our Moulinex Blender and grinder for quite some long years, it was showing its age. We found this 500W replacement with an additional chopper at a very good price and marked as "good as new". We will be passing on our ancient one via 'Freegle'.

I bought this when my old Moulinex finally gave up the ghost after many years of great service. But the new design is the opposite of an improvement. No.1. the attachments on my old blender twist-locked into place making them a solid secure part of the motor base. They now merely click down and have to be removed to lift for storeage. No. 2 The start button on the old one had a twist control with variable speeds of blending. This model has just a button- push and one speed fits all. Its position also means you can accidentally switch it on as you take it from the cupboard and can give you a nasty surprise when you plug in and it starts! All in all it blends fine but this new model is very much a case of form over function and had I seen it in a store rather than online I might have looked around at other makes before purchasing. .

Good value and does the job.

I use it on a daily basis and it continuously blends properly. Very easy to clean. I have already bought one for mum and one for my daughters.
