The media could not be loaded.  The base is sturdy. The foot plate slides back and forth and is wobbly with cheap plastic bushings and to move it you have to remove a untighted to knobs and very awkard for adjusting and very wobbly. It adjusts up and down same way it is really a terrible piece. Watch the video.

This GHD has been a fantastic addition to our home gym. Very strudy and will hardly budge when used. We've put this bench through the wringer over the past year and the only thing that has happened is the stitching on the pads has busted loose. Nothing that a little duct tape could not fix but given that we have used it consistently in our CF workouts I have to say we have more than gotten our money out of the device. Very rugged construction and the frame is all steel ( about 150lbs weight). If you're looking for a rugged GHD that won't break the bank this is the device to purchase. If you're concerned about height/weight ratio on the bench I'm of an athletic build 6'1 230lbs my other workout partners are 5'8 190 and 5'10 220. None of us have ever had any problem using the bench or feeling as if it couldn't support us in any of the exercises we've done on the GHD.

so, first of all, throw the instructions away when you get them. You'll have to grind down (or replace) some of the 3" bolts or they will mark up your floor...they do not sit flush. I swapped them out for 2.5 inch. Just look at the picture and put it together with the best hardware that you have. Having said that, once you get it together, it's a real nice piece of equipment.

Received the GHD yesterday and put it together. Very disappointed at how unstable it is in regards to the foot plate. It wobbles back and forth. The base seems very sturdy but I am not happy with the quality of product at the price it is being sold.

I bought this over a year ago and it is still in good shape after much use.Hypers,Roman chair situps,Glute ham lifts,preacher curls,back stretches and more.The pad could be a bit wider for more hip involvement.Overall a good investment.,
