I found these lancets in 2022 to make checking blood sugar easier for my 75# Lab/mix rescue. You just remove the rounded cap and there is a white ring on the bottom that houses the needle. For my size dog I use 21 gauge needles and take use the lancet on his front elbow pads and he doesnt even flinch or care. I tell him I have to take his blood sugar and he gets on the sofa and in position. I'd say that behavior that doesn't mind right? I love these lancets and have been buying them since October 1, 2022. These are excellent to hand sticking especially for an animal.

Very easy to use and not painful at all.
I really like not having to load a lancet device to check my blood glucose. These are easy to use, not painful, and produce exactly the right size drop of blood for my meter. A bit expensive, which is why I took off one star, but totally worth the price in comfort and ease of use.
