2 years ago I built a recording studio into a ProMaster van. I make videos on the history of humankind. Even with 720W of solar on the roof and a Yeti 3000 from Goal Zero, I still needed more power several days a week. I needed a generator and so the search began. Honda generators are considered the gold standard and considered the quietest, but were significantly out of my price range. The search was on for a quiet generator at a more reasonable price point. A friend told me about the TACKlife generator that promised to be as quiet as the Honda. I doubted it, but for less than 1/3rd the price of the Honda and slightly more power, it was worth a shot.Now about 6 weeks later and having used it for countless hours all around the country, it’s a keeper. I don’t have a Honda to compare it to but it’s super quiet and I can record my videos with the generator running right outside. That’s super important for me. I can charge my Yeti 3000, run my entire studio and not even use half the available power of the generator. And with crazy low gas prices right now, it’s just such freedom. I visit Joshua Tree National Park frequently and have no doubt I will be allowed to run this generator in the park during the allowable hours. I just love it. I have run it while parked on the street and never had any problems. It’s about as loud as my van’s engine during idle.Oil changes are as per every other generator. I bought a large bottle of Pennzoil to keep the price of oil changes down and I highly recommend that. Generator started very first pull and has every time since. It’s much much lighter than I was expecting. The power is close to a pure sine wave which is crucial for my sensitive equipment. I don’t have any noise in my gear which was a concern with running everything off a generator. The color and design is modern and appealing. The fuel cap has a valve so there’s no fuel odor in the van and it sits right below where my head is when I’m sleeping. It features a fuel gage which most this size lack, and that’s extremely convenient. Good value. Very happy. Should have bought a generator long time ago.

After researching many of the inverter generators on the market I chose this one from Tacklife.It is replacing a small two cycle, difficult to start, noisy, unstable output generator. This Tacklife generator comes very close to being one of the very best inverter generators out there, and at a very nice price to boot. The single feature of 1800 watts continuous was the main spec that caught my eye. Then the weight of 40 lbs. impressed me. A good readable English only manual was nice. The generator looks good as well and runs like a charm. The price of under $400 made the deal sweeter yet. It is difficult to judge the reliability of this type of generator because it generally is not in constant use, but my gut tells me that it is a quality product that will serve my infrequent needs very well. Inverter generators like the Tacklife offering here offer a solid 1800 watts over the basic anemic 2 cycle generators and is a good value even though the price is higher. I highly recommend this generator to anyone that can put to good use this Tacklife product, with an 1800 watt near pure sine wave output, which is very important for not damaging sensitive electronic products

When I first got the generator I was really thrilled and surprised at how quiet it was and it's fuel efficiency I live on a sailboat in the Florida Keys so I depend on my generator a whole lot. Right after the return cycle ran out the thing started running funny not coming up to RPMs and would just not power of my air conditioner anymore. I did the 10 hour run change oil and then I've been changing oil for about every 8 tanks of fuel wish I figures 80 hours or so. Now it's not running at all hardly it and of course the time to return it has ran out so I am basically stuck with it. At first I loved it but now I wouldn't suggest it. Just my thoughts

I bought this generator to power my refrigerator and freezer during possible power outages during fire season here in northern California. It started up fine on my first test after adding oil and gasoline. My next test, a couple weeks later, powered the fridge and freezer using extension cords running into the kitchen and garage from the generator on our patio. I ran the test for about an hour. Everything worked fine. Noise was acceptable in eco mode. Fuel consumption was more than expected but I will reduce the choke level next time. Overall the build quality looks good.

It was easy to setup. Started on 2nd pull. After that it started on first pull without using the choke setting. With a full crankcase of 0.4 qt. 10w30 synthetic motor oil, this only weighed 39.8 lbs. So i expect the manufacturer's statement of 39.6 lbs dry weight is overstated. I haven't put a full load on it yet. It is quiet in Eco mode and slightly louder in full power mode..

Like the service on I received. Had some parts missing but great to deal with and would highly recommend to anyone look for a generator Their customer service was excellent thank you so much

Supplier was prompt on delivery. Simply put in the oil, put in the gas, primed it, and got it running easily. The inverter was well packaged and arrived damage free. Included instructions about adding oil and setup for first running. Inverter is very quiet, and generally starts with a single pull. Unit runs just about all day on a single fueling. Well pleased with the unit, it's quietness, and its ability to perform flawlessly all day long. Not overly heavy, most should be able to lift without problems. I needed a simple and portable generator for my small travel trailer and this unit serves that purpose perfectly. I will try to update my review after I have used the unit over a period of time, but for now… I’m a happy camper.

Excellent little generator. I researched soooooo many brands but didn't like the crazy prices. This Tacklife had many of the same features and qualities as the Honda and other leading brands but for more than half the price. I took the risk and bought it. It's so freaking quiet! Started on first pull. I'm so happy with it!
