Small button. Big “why didn’t I buy this sooner” energy.
The Aqara Wireless Mini Switch might look like a simple little button, but in a smart home it’s basically a magic wand. Setup – quick and painless Added straight into my Aqara Hub M3 and it paired in seconds. No faffing about, no mysterious error codes, no standing on one leg while rebooting the hub. It just joined and got on with it. What it actually does This isn’t just a doorbell-style button. You get multiple actions: 👆 Single press 👆👆 Double press ⏱ Long press Each one can trigger a different automation. In my house that means lights, scenes, and other smart devices all firing off from one tiny button. It’s like a physical shortcut key for real life. Reliability So far it’s been rock solid. Press the button → stuff happens. Every time. No delays, no “device not responding,” no smart-home sulking. Battery life is great too — it sips power, so you’re not constantly changing cells. Why this is better than voice sometimes Voice control is great… until: – The TV is loud – You’ve lost your voice – You don’t want to shout commands like a wizard casting spells This little switch is instant, silent, and guest-friendly. Visitors actually understand “press this button” without a tutorial. Build & size Nice and compact, feels well made, and you can stick it pretty much anywhere. Wall, bedside table, desk — it just blends in. Verdict One of the most useful smart home gadgets I own. Cheap, reliable, and ridiculously versatile. I bought one to “try it out.” I now have several. They multiply. No regrets.

Useful for the whole smart home
I’ve bought a few of these buttons for around our house to make sure everyone has the ability to use key smart home bits without having to have their phones out and handy and/or be connected to our smart home. Highly recommend! We’ve never had any issues with their connectivity. Super easy to set up. We use with AppleHome and it can control anything in our home so not just limited to Aqara products. I love that there are multiple options of button presses so the button can do more than one thing if you want it to. I think they’re really good value, especially for the reliability and use with so many other products. They’re also nice and small, discrete and simple for everyone to use.

Aqara Wireless Mini Switch: Effortless Control with a Slight HomeKit Limitation
The Aqara Wireless Mini Switch is a game-changer when it comes to smart home control. Its compact design and wireless functionality make it incredibly convenient to use. I love how easy it is to set up and connect to my smart devices. However, one downside is that it doesn't function as a direct switch in HomeKit. To turn a light on and off, a shortcut needs to be created, resulting in a slight delay in response. The battery life is impressive, ensuring long-lasting performance. Overall, the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch is a must-have for anyone looking to add seamless control to their smart home setup!

Connected to HA with zigbee dongle- works great!
Connected directly to Home Assistant via Conbee II zigbee dongle without Aqara hub. Simple to connect, works a treat. I’m not sure i would choose this brand without HA but for this purpose they are a great option compared to more expensive brands.

Great product
The switch works great for my smart home as I use it as a way to quickly disarm the guard system if I'm quickly popping out to put the bins out, having the three different functions brings many ideas to mind with how else I'm going to use it. A great bonus is that it also looks very sleek and fits in with other aqara products

Really good value, and reliable performance
I have a few of these mini switches dotted around my home, all connected to Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT. They are really versatile little buttons with three built in actions: single press, double press, hold (and release separately). My main use for these is to use the hold action to turn on a device like a lamp/s or ceiling fan, and then single and double presses to increase or decrease the brightness/speed. That way one discrete button can control all the commonly used functions. I recently had to replace the as-shipped battery in one that is used a couple of times a day for just over a year, so not bad. You can monitor the battery status remotely and set up alerts to warn you when it is below 1/3rd.
