Dual SK1 Switches

I received this remote switch in timely manner and installed the unit in about 5 minutes. I used the switches to replace a wired 3-way switch in my kitchen. The switch works very good in this application. -Pros -The unit is very small and will fit into about any small box; even ones with lots of wires. -The connectors to wire in the unit are very convenient and easy to use. -Pairing the unit to the switches was fast and easy to do. -The pushbutton switch looks nice and operates easily. -Cons/Suggestions -A toggle switch rather than a pushbutton -A push and hold feature to dim the lights would be nice -A night light feature on the switch for easy location in the dark. All in all, a great switch at a fair price. I will purchase again -perhaps today!

I purchased this product to control an outside lam post that had a switch on the pole which was not convenient to access. I was impressed with the simplicity of the design and the compact size of the parts, particularly the receiver that actually turns on the lamp. It could fit into virtually any location, and easily fit inside the lamp post pole. I routed the small antenna through the hinged cover that was used to cover the original manual switch. If your installation is like mine, rest assured you can connect the two neutral wires of the receiver together and attach them to a single neutral of your system. There is no need to use isolated neutrals (White) for the input and the output. This was simple to install, and an amazing value for the money. I purchased the kit with two remote switches and they are simple and easy to pair. I will be buying a third wall switch as well since it is so easy to add to the system and will add to the convenience of being able to turn on the light from multiple locations. Buy it!

Had a switch for a ceiling light at the top of a stairwell; none at the bottom, it stayed on when my roommate went to his room. Adding a switch, even with surface wiring would be very labor intensive; this switch saved the day! Both switches worked first time; look Ma, no wires! The only downside is that the receiver, only a little less than an inch wide, deep, whatever, has to fit inside your light fixture. Mine was a low profile led; zero space. Solution, I bought a 5 1/2" round wiremold box that is 1" deep to accommodate the receiver. So, the fixture floats an inch down from the ceiling; still looks fine to me. Also, the package included two small objects with toggle-like switches not named in the instructions; they were a replacement for wire nuts, I went with wire nuts as they were less bulky.

This seems to be a well built receiver/remote (2) switch system. The instructions are a little thin, but adequate. It is easy enough to install but would recommend some experience with 120v wiring. Important to note if you are planning to integrate this using an existing standard switch, this does not convert the overall system to a "3-way" where these remotes and existing switch both can be on or off. Instead I REPLACED the standard wall switch with one of the two remotes, otherwise the standard wall switch is the overriding ON or OFF control. See pictures. The remote is covering the previous toggle switch hole. The other remote (not pictured) acts as a true 3-way in this setup. Working perfectly so far.
